going back to the topic of lindsay lohan…
at imdb.com:
Farrell Rebuffs Young Lohan
Movie wildman Colin Farrell has turned down the chance to date sexy rising star Lindsay Lohan – thanks to her age. The Alexander hunk, 27, was stunned by the Freaky Friday actress’ beauty when they met at the Paramount lot in Hollywood and when the precocious youngster offered him her phone number, Farrell was delighted. But after a second look at the object of his affections, Irish Farrell became worried she was a little too young for him. According to American website Page Six.com, when Lohan admitted she was just 17, Farrell called off the date saying, "Maybe in a year or so."
hahahahha

while we are talking about movie, Peter Jackson has agreed to do another movie involving hobbits and the such after he has completed his remake of King Kong. He is agreed to make the hobbit, but there is some crap about MGM owning the rights to the movie, but new line owning the right to distribute it or somethinglike that. So next is king kong, then probally a few years later there will be the hobbit.
on another note, Sooooo hot:

Yeah, I watched that Batman thing a while ago. Its so cool. I wish those guys would make a full length film instead of giving us cliffhanger after not all that much movie. But Batman rules. I just hope that the new Batman movie they’re making is gonna be better than that piece of garbage Batman And Robin. Arnold as Mr. Freeze? I mean, come on! Mr. Freeze is a crazy scientist! They shouldnt have gotten a friggin bodybuilder to play him! He was the only bad guy in a Batman movie that was cast wrong. All the rest were golden. Every Batman after Keaton was bad though. Ok, Im done ranting. Resume regular conversation

That AVP movie is just one of those things they HAVE to do right or be assaulted by nerds in swarms. Movie studios are growing balls now that LoTR was considered a good adaptation of the book at the least. If they mess this up, the whole concept of AVP will be ruined for all time.
#28 | Comment by Dionysus187 — March 9, 2004 @ 12:30 pm
huh? didn’t see the nice surprise at the end. The trailer was sweet though, I saw it a couple of months ago but that was only the teaser which showed nothing. This one actually showed some humans and not old footage from the previous predator and alien movies.
#29 | Comment by Jmah — March 9, 2004 @ 12:32 pm
Ok i found a codec to play it, but i would have rather of seen something else like an alien pop out of batmans stomache at the end, then what had really happend.

Hmmm, Freddy vs. Jason . . . . Alien vs. Predator . . . .pfff, what are the odds of another sucky movie? Both movies were great. I’m not sure how well this will transition to a "combo" movie. Freddy vs. Jason didn’t do all that great, so I don’t see this one doing well either (as much as I’d like it to). Sometimes two great things coming together doesn’t always work out very well, . . . except maybe twins!

I don’t think AvP will be any good at all. If you ask me, it’s just a bunch of crock. Any movie thats made from a video game (Yes those are characters from movies, but they fought for the first time in a game.) is going to suck. I have yet to see any movie do the game justic.
#39 | Comment by Clay — March 9, 2004 @ 1:38 pm
Christopher Nolan, the guy who directed insomnia and momento, is directing a batman movie focusing on the orgin of batman. Christan Bale is playing batman. As far as I’m concerned, he fits the role of Bruce Wayne pretty fucking well. Val Kilmer wasn’t bad as batman, I wasn’t fond of Keaton, and let’s not talk about Clooney.
#40 | Comment by Nick — March 9, 2004 @ 2:21 pm
clancy, have faith maybe Paul Anderson has evolved, surely he knows, or has been told by his bosses that the movies he has made suck, maybe he has something different to show now!!!

Boooo, I got banned from posting on monster.com’s job search message boards 🙁 ………all because I thought it’d be a funny joke to keep reposting the same old story about a boss’s wife inquiring about her cheating husband. 🙁 Oh well, it was entertaining for the moment.
In other news, I’m seeing a close friend of mine tomorrow…I haven’t seen him in over two years and I was worried sick about him…so wish me luck, guys. 😀
Oh yeah…as far as relevance to this post…I haven’t seen any Batman movies lately, but enjoyed them a lot while growing up. I think "Batman Forever" was the best outta the ones I saw before.

What is wrong with liking that movie? I thought Nicole Kidman looked good in it, and Jim Carrey played his role of the Riddler well. I will admit that "Batman and Robin"(its sequel) didn’t nearly compare–especially with the cheesy scene where Robin kisses Poison Ivy, and then removes a pair of rubber lips from his mouth.
#47 | Comment by Becca — March 9, 2004 @ 7:30 pm
Just because it wasn’t as bad as Batman and Robin doesn’t mean it was better than Batman or Batman Returns

Batman…Awesome
Batman Returns…still awesome
Batman Forever…not horrible, rates a "meh"
Batman and Robin… makes me want to kill Joel Schumaker or whatever the hell his name is. Since when has the dark night been fighting in a neon infused land of gotham. I though gotham was dark and brooding. Damn you clooney. and damn you chris whats-his-face for gaying up robin more so than in Forever.

-SYNOPSIS-
Director Christopher Nolan (Memento, Insomnia) and screenwriter David S. Goyer (the Blade trilogy) join forces for another action-packed chapter of the Batman saga!
As a young boy, Bruce Wayne watched in horror as his millionaire parents were slain in front of him–a trauma that leads him to become obsessed with revenge. But the opportunity to avenge his parent’s deaths is cruelly taken away from him by fate.
Fleeing to the East, where he seeks counsel with the dangerous but honorable ninja cult leader known as Ra’s Al-Ghul, Bruce returns to his now decaying Gotham City, which is overrun by organized crime and other dangerous individuals manipulating the system. Meanwhile, Bruce is slowly being swindled out of Wayne Industries, the company he inherited.
The discovery of a cave under his mansion, along with a prototype armored suit, leads him to assume a new persona, one which will strike fear into the hearts of men who do wrong; he becomes Batman!!!
In the new guise, and with the help of rising cop Jim Gordon, Batman sets out to take down the various nefarious schemes in motion by individuals such as mafia don Falcone, the twisted doctor/drug dealer Jonathan ‘The Scarecrow’ Crane, and a mysterious third party that is quite familiar with Wayne and waiting to strike when the time is right.

I agree. The first two Batman movies were marvelous. Of course Keaton as Batman was the best. And Burton directing was also amazing. No one could be better than Nicholson as Joker (I think he was born to play the role). Nor could anyone make a better Penguin than DaVito (sp?). Even Forever was awesome casting for the bad guys (Jim Carrey/Riddler, Tommy Lee Jones/Two-Face), but Val Kilmer ruined it. Batman and Robin was all around bad casting (well….Uma Thurman was good, not to mention hot). As far as bad guys go though, I hope they have Scarecrow in the next Batman. Scarecrow (and only Scarecrow) could provide the dark storyline which would bring the series back to its Burton-esque roots. ‘Nuff said….
