HAY look at what im boughted lolzz!!!
Actually got it like about 3 weeks ago. It’s a Mazda RX-8 if you couldn’t already tell. Apparently better than Nissan’s 350Z, which is its closest ‘rival’ or something. I dunno.
Who cares.
Now it’s probably just because i suck at taking pictures but i have to say, the car actually looks a lot better in real life than it does in pics.
Kind of like certain celebrities i suppose.
6 speed manual transmission, 4 seater, 4 door (suicide rears), leather interior, 238 horsepower rotary engine, 18 inch rims and it corners like it’s on freakin’ rails.
It is quite the gas guzzler though. That’s pretty much the only major downside.
Conclusion: if it were a girl, i’d hit it.
They drink oil too, but good choice.

Nice. The 350 is about 50 more horse and more low end torque but the RX-8 is still a really nice car. Take good care of it though, with those fancy rotary engines and triangular pistons you HAVE to get it serviced at the dealership. No reagular mechanic will know what to do with it.

I have an 2005 RX-8 and a 2005 Mazda 3 (Mazdaspeed). Honestly I like the 3 better. It’s 305 HP and doesn’t suck THAT much gas…and yeah the 3 is nowhere near stock.

I’ve owned a Titanium RX-8 with full factory bodykit and spoiler since they came out. Make sure that you have the latest CEL Flash for the computer to ensure maximum power and the lowest chance of flooding the engine.
I’ve found that under normal driving conditions, I go through a quart of 5w20 oil every 2 months.

#20 Can you use Mobil 1 in an RX8, or does Mazda still warn against using synthetics? It confuses me that synthetics work well in Mercedes AMGs, Porsches and Vipers, but not in rotary engines.

Synthetic would work. Manufacturers are shy about extended drain intervals, which is justified only as far as contaminants are concerned.

Gotta say, test drove both the RX-8 and 350Z and I chose the Z. About 50 more horsepower like mentioned above and it fucking goes. The RX-8 took forever to get going (rotary engine no doubt) and was more cramped. The backseat is useless b/c an infant wouldn’t fit, so slide back those front seats. Great looking car though, but it’s worth the extra couple grand to bump up to the 350Z Touring Edition. Oh and the Mazda dealership in my town is loaded with idiots, so that componds the problem.
Although, the Z takes Premium fuel only and gets about 18 to the gallon, so the RX-8 may be better than that.

It’s not a wankel, it’s a renesis. The rx7 had a wankel and loved boost where the rx8 is an n/a tune now. All cars get you from point a to b some can just do it quicker.
