I am of course talking about the Wii and PS3.
I’ll probably be getting a Wii sooner than i will be a PS3 *coughPRICERAPEcough*.
Although i should probably just wait a coupla months (or a year) to see if there are manufacturing problems with these first run units (in the case of the PS3 – Nintendo actually makes reliable hardware).
Don’t want ’em to start bricking on me and crap.
It’s been 24 days (and counting) since my 360 died. Piece of shit.

I’m definitely getting a Wii eventually. I’m on my 3rd PS2, so I’ve pretty much given up on Sony’s POS hardward. And Microsoft can’t make computer stuff correctly, what makes them think I want their console?

When the PS2 came out I sold it on ebay for $1200, that was the PS2, I tried the same thing with the PS3, but the Best Buy in my town fucked up the wait in line thing the night before.
PS3 and Xbox360 were mistakes. Wii got it right, they aren’t really going next gen, they’re trying something new with enough power over the previous console to continue allowing development. Sony should have just waited a year or two for prices to drop on the hardware they wanted.

Those pre-order people are fucking smart I tell ya. It’s pretty ridiculous that when you search for a PS3 on Ebay, there’s literally hundreds of people selling it. What is this, a trend now? And what sucks for them is, the PRICE IS GETTING LOWER, AND THEY WON’T GET THE 20Gs+ that they’d expect when they’d sell it. I hope it goes down to 600, so those dumb witted people realize they aren’t getting shit… You should of seen the prices on Ebay, days before it wasn’t out. I saw one that one up to 40G…
And as for what system I’m getting, definitely the Wii. I’m going to wait for the PS3 to drop at least 200 bones before I get one… Which hopefully will not take so long…

Actually, #17, the prices are getting higher. I just checked eBay, and there’s a PS3 listed on there with current bid at US $10,000,100.00. It has had 3 bidders already. This crap is just ridiculous. I get such a kick out of all the dumbass hardcore gamers out there that have to be the very first to own something like this and spend way too much money on it. I mean, no one should be camping out for 3 days to get these stupid things. I have no problem with gamers, but come on, there IS more to life than video games, and it won’t kill you to wait a few months or so to buy this crap. Fucking unbelieveable. I can’t believe people would go this far just for a damn game system.

Given that I live in the Uk, it’s helpfull to know just how buggered up the 360 and PS3 is.. I currently have a PS2.. I’d be tempted to get a 360 now to replace my crappy gaming pc (it’s slowly dying on me), and then trade it against the PS3.. why? one reason: backwards compatability.. AFAIK, PS2 games will be playable on the PS3, sans rumble option, the 360 will not play standard XBOX games.. correct me if I’m wrong.

The 360 does have backwards compatibility, just not for every game. There’s a list on Xbox’s website of games that are playable.
