So I’d never heard of this girl or her coming-of-age movie, Lime, until someone posted a link to this YouTube clip in a comment. Probably because she and the movie are Norwegian.
She’s a beautiful girl, looking to my eyes like a cross between a young Piper Perabo and a teenage Denise Richards. I guess it’s those pouty lips that make me think that.
After watching this clip, I’m understandably curious, so I decide to IMDB the film. And I see comments like these…
Why the HELL did they have to show Tanja naked ALL the time? The showerscene was a complete waste of time and all those changings of clothes; why!?! I mean, come on, she is only 15, her body isn’t really the main interest here
I don’t mind seeing naked girls. In fact; I enjoy seeing naked girls. So why don’t I love Lime, a film where the main character Tanja, played by Rita Kvist- one of the cutest girls in Norway, undresses in every second scene?
But the director spoils what could have been a good movie by focusing way to much on her young actress’ body. What is for example the point in the scene from the girls locker room? And do we have to see every time Tanja changes her clothes?
Tanya is almost 15 with nude scenes in this movie (yes nude), angry and unhappy, she’s in love with another girl Henrik 13

Suffice to say, the commenters over at IMDB are of a decidedly different sort than the commenters round these parts. So has anyone here actually seen this movie? Granted, depending on where you live, you may not want to answer that question on a public website…

She’s very cute. And underage nudity isn’t against the law. Underage porn certainly is. As long as the nudity isn’t overly sexualized, it is not going to be considered porn. Even clothed minors, if sexualized, can be considered pornographic. Remember Thora Birch at the end of American Beauty? She was only 16 when that was filmed. And she was topless. And you can buy that DVD everywhere.
So maybe Norway is a bit more liberal than the US. Or maybe, like most of Europe, they see nudity as what it is. Just people (God’s creations) without clothes (man’s creations) (I don’t mean to put any specific religion up for anyone). They see it all the time at their beaches, parks, etc. For most Europeans, nudity is no big deal. They are not living in a puritanical society. We are.

From there you may download or purchase the film in all its uncensored artistic glory. This flick has been around for over 5 years so I doubt anybody’s gonna send out the posse. Besides, it IS art. Technically and legally. Nevermind the fact that in Norway it gained wide release as a mainstream film. Not much worse than Blue Lagoon or Endless Love really. Not NEARLY as creepy as that KIDS movie with Rosario Dawson. Or so I heard…uhhh, yeah.

#29, when someone says a girl is naked in a movie, and then doesn’t supply me with the nakedness, I get frustrated. She’s an attractive girl, and she’s not that young, (only 4 years younger than me), so I don’t see it as a big deal. If she’d been younger, then creepy would be accurate.

Unless there’s another version of this film, the nudity claimed by the reviewers is highly exaggerated.
There’s only 3 scenes in the entire movie with any kind of nudity and they last a few secs. Much ado about very little.

I agree. From the comments, They make it sound like she’s completely naked for half the movie. I just watched the entire movie an all I saw was three very brief peeks at a nipple and a mostly obscured view of her getting into a bathtub. Very dissappointing as far as nudity goes.

I come from Norway and I have seen this movie, it’s really not a great movie.. It’s very pooor acting and in Norway it got hyped to the limit, she became the-up-n-coming-star when it came… Rita never acted again.. The song playing in the background is a Morten Abel song called “Be my lover”.
