THE 50 HOTTEST WOMEN IN MUSIC

With so many attractive women in the music industry, it’s no easy task to rank the top 50.

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. However, countless hours of research were put into these rankings. Thousands of pictures were scanned, hundreds of videos were watched, dozens of Wikipedia entries were combed through, and every woman on the list was thoroughly ogled to ensure a fair and accurate ranking. Weeks and weeks were spent investigating the hotness of these women.

(Hell, at one point I even asked someone for help.)

Before we get into it, there are a few rules:

Rule #1 (The Madonna Rule): This list is based on recent hotness. It doesn’t matter how hot an artist was back in the ’80s. It’s 2007. What have you done for us lately?

Rule #2 (The Hayden Panettiere Rule): To qualify for this list, an artist must be over 18 years of age. We only objectify of-age women here.

Rule #3 (The Newcomer Rule): Each artist must have released at least one full-length album prior to August 1st, 2007 in order to qualify.

Rule #4 (The Pseudo-Musician Rule): Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton are disqualified for obvious reasons.

Rule #5 (The Ashlee Simpson Rule): A woman can move up a few spots based on talent and/or personality. However, they cannot be hurt by lack of talent. Just like in real life.

Rule #6 (The Anastacia Rule): A prolonged absence from the musical spotlight can bring an artist down several notches. This is, after all, a list of the hottest women in music, so it’s only appropriate that they stay active in music.

Rule #7 (The Dixie Chicks Rule): For a group, the ranking will be determined by averaging the hotness of all members.

Those are the rules. It’s beholding time…

    Victoria Beckham? Breaks not only rule #6 but also rule #8 (the Olsen Twins rule): If you don’t weigh more than both Olsen twins combined, you don’t qualify.

    Jessica Simpson at #1. That’s a crime against music to begin with. Just for that Boots are Made for Walking cover.

  3. ima have to diagree with this list, but not for the same reasons as #2….MC is fucking awesome, no matter what. McPhee should be top 5 if not top 3…the list is broken in many other ways though. oh well…what with “eye of the beholder” and all, who care really?

    Rule #1 should disqualify Mariah Carey, unless the Wayback Machine has transported us to 1991 . (Now she looks worse than Mary Carey. Or Harry Caray.)

    Rule #4 should disqualify Hilary Duff. (The soundtrack from “Lizzie McGuire” doesn’t cut it.)

    Natasha Bedingfield is WAY underrated.

    Vanessa Hudgens also released a solo album, but i dont think theres any room on this list for her.

    even though theres alot of hot women on here, im my opinion…as an american, they are completely unknown to me…and that should have been a rule. if they arent famous or mainstream that should be a DQ.

    and rules # 1 & 6 were violated several times.
