This is for Eye.
“I forgot to ask Justin this and haven’t seen it on his site. Do you have the new Evil Dead DVD and is it worth buying? The case looks really cool, but won’t fit nicely on a shelf with other DVDs though. Any opinions other than “It’s Bruce Campbell so it’s great?””
Well…

As you can see, it doesn’t look too good stacked like that. It sticks out like Kirsten Dunst’s nipples in that Spider-Man alley scene. Very noticeable.

But if you take it out of it’s box, it fits pretty well. It’s just about the same size as a normal DVD case. But it still ain’t perfect.

The size difference when it’s still in its packaging.

The really cool ‘casing’. If you can stand its smell. It stinks. As should a book that’s made out of dead human skin should.

“Oh my” says Eye. “That sure does look like it’s worth it”.
“It is” says Justin.

My final opinion: “It’s Bruce Campbell so it’s great!”
‘..As should a book that’s made out of dead human skin should.’
ewww.. yuck.

Actually Eye, i’d say it’s pretty worth it if not just for the Bruce Campbell Fanalysis documentary that’s on there. And of course there’s the cool packaging and the history of Evil Dead booklet that’s included. Plus the Bruce Campbell’s commentary track is just hilarious. So yeah, it’s worth buying if you’ve got the cash. I got mine from Best Buy for about 29 bucks i think.
It’s Bruce Campbell so it’s great!

Frankly, you all suck and I’m totally jealous. Many many years from now, Region 4 might see the release of any Evil Dead DVD but its not promising.
Fortunately, because of Arnie, it looks like you’ll have to endure useless featureless DVDs like us Region 4 people soon enough.
ho ho ho.

If you want original region 1 DVD’s that cost anywhere from RM$120 – RM$160+, go to Bangsar Shopping Complex. Top floor. Fox Home Video. Excellent shop.
If you want lousy bootleg crap, go to Petaling Street. Or Sungei Wang Plaza.
