Ich lebe dieses Lied, welches Lied lebst du?

I went out and bought that 4 disc Vista Series edition of Pearl Harbor: The Director’s Cut yesterday. That’ll probably be my last purchase for this month since i’m gonna be swearing off buying any new DVD or videogames till at least the middle of August. To balance out all the crap i’ve been spending my money on over the past 2 weeks or so.

Check out the very impressive package you get with this 4 disc set.

3 audio commentaries, two 1 hour documentaries, one 50 minute ‘making of’ feature, hours worth of interactive featurettes plus TONS of other stuff; that’s gotta be at least a total of 16+ hours worth of your time to be invested into checking out everything that’s on those 4 shiny silver platters.

I still get chills running down my spine everytime i watch that bombing scene. I’ve seen this movies about 3 times now i think and it never fails to do that to me. And if you didn’t already know, you’re actually getting the R-rated director’s cut of the movie with this edition. And oh boy, what a difference that R makes. The battle scenes are just flat out gruesome this time around. Limbs getting blown off, brains flying everywhere, guts spilling out of people’s stomachs, blood spurting from people’s necks, people getting torn apart by bullets, decapitated heads rolling on the floor, etc etc. Very very gruesome stuff. Probably even more than in Saving Private Ryan. And Black Hawk Down. Combined. And wait till you get to the extra juicy hospital scene.

Oh and don’t forget to check out the hidden easter egg on the second disc. Hit right on your DVD remote to highlight this star that’s hidden next to the Faith Hill music video. It’ll take you to an outtake/film wrap reel that is just hilarious. OMG. I nearly busted my gut laughing when they recreated that animal cracker scene from Armageddon with Ben Affleck and Liv Tyler. Except with Josh Hartnett… playing Liv Tyler’s character.

It was SO SO very gay.

Anyways, i highly recommend getting this DVD if you have the cash. Sure the movie sucks (except for the bombing scenes) but the sheer amount of extras that you get with it more than makes up for the bad plot.

If anything, you should just get this DVD for that animal cracker scene alone. Haha.

Considering how good this 4 disc set of Pearl Harbor is, i can’t wait to see how much greater the 4 disc set of The Lord Of The Rings will be when it get released later in the year.

I still haven’t seen LOTR by the way. Even though i have it on VCD. I think i’ll just wait till the DVD comes out.

LostInAPC: are you avril lavigne?
Typical Lewser: Do you really think if I was a teenage pop star, that I’d post my SN on a website?
LostInAPC: no but someone else might
Typical Lewser: I’m not her, sorry buddy
LostInAPC: ok
TypicalLewser: Your readers suck

  6. Apparently the Vista Pearl Harbor is not for sale in Kentucky or Tennessee. I’ve been all over and can’t find it anywhere.
