Your thoughts? Personally, i haven’t even seen it yet. But i’ll probably pick it up on bootleg DVD or something next week. Because i can. Nyuk nyuk.
(I’m too cheap to go see Revolutions at the movies. But if it makes any difference, i did go see Reloaded like twice when it came out back in May. At the movies too! 😮 Not bootlegged)
Anyhow, for those of you who have seen it, go ahead and talk about it in the comments or something. Be as spoilerific as you want. I’ll probably chime in with my thoughts after i actually see the movie. But for the rest of you..
Warning: Potential Revolutions spoilers will be the in the comments!
No spoilers from me. But OMG!!!!! Carrie-Anne Moss is the perfect woman!!!!!!!!!!
#1 | Comment by grud — November 5, 2003 @ 9:45 pm
before it gets all spoilerific up in here, here’s a nifty take on that dumb coors beer commercial about the matrix:
I / Love / Keanu and Carrie-Anne / The Merovingian / Agent Smith times 10 / and, and those Twins!
ok maybe i’m the only one who finds that somewhat amusing. anyhow, i thought carrie anne was hot in the first one. but somehow she got a liiiiittle bit less hot in reloaded. but apparently she’s all hot again in revolutions. according to what grud has to say though.
pesonally it’s all about MONICA BELLUCCI’S cleavage for me! oh and her ass is pretty smokin too.

justin, why the fuck cant i use the tag???
you can thank justin he did something to his script and it seems like i cant hide the text, hopefully he can do something about it…
anyway, here they are
*SPOILERS*
trinity dies =(, but oh what the hell… let’s start from the top:
movie starts inside the nabocosudkashdjasdhj whatever the hell is called, with neo and smith still in coma or something.
neo wakes up in a train station and meets with some people, they explain him where he is and stuff and tell him that probably the french guy won’t let him out.
cut to morpheus and trinity talking to the oracle(???, what the hell happened to her?). She tells them where to find neo, they go and they chase this really weird looking guy, some shooting and jumps and stuff, but they fail.
maaaaaaaan… i cant write a decent spoiler, so i’ll just give you the major ones:
– smith is pretty much the same thing neo is, they balance out eachother, same goes for the architech and the oracle. Neo is supossedly the only one who can stop smith from taking over the matrix and also over the real world.
– morpheus is really pissed at the oracle 😉
– smith blinds neo in the real world, man that guy really knows how to act!!!
– like i said, trinity dies =(… but she gets to see daylight, and she also tells neo she loves him so it’s ok. Really touching scene.
– the fight at the hell’s club is damn awesome.
– the fight between neo and smith at the end of the movie is DAMN WICKED!!!, nice action… like everywhere, non stop ass kickness all over the place.
– i still dont get why neo can destroy sentinels just by whishing it (y’know, that really gay thing he does with his hands). They explain the powers of the choosen one go far beyond the matrix itself, but still they dont provide any logical explanation as to why the fuck neo can toast machines.
– the fight at zion is pretty well done, really heroic and stuff. Poor guy with the cuts in his face. Nice development in some of the weakest characters from reloaded.
– after the fight with neo, all the smiths begin to crack and stuff (much like he did in the first matrix after neo gets into his body).
– neo finally gets peace, although it is uncertain how long will it last.
– the girl next to the french guy at the hell’s club is teh hot!!! what’s her name? is she monica belucci?
*END OF SPOILERS*
i guess that’s pretty much it. You gotta go see it for yourself, it’s well worthed the $5 bucks per seat (at least in mexico). I was supossed to write this yesterday but i got home too late (after 1:00am) and i really needed some sleep.
i think the movie does what is supossed to do, it entertains and puts a happy ending to a nice trilogy.
go see it and post your thoughts on it, ok?

Hey, as long as this one is filled with 2 hours of pseudo taoist preachings, non-sensical repetitions of single themes, inherent non-progressions of plot, and tons of ballet-like fight scenes…
…then count me in.
Nemo is the one.
#18 | Comment by sexcrazedweasel — November 6, 2003 @ 1:09 pm
You dimwitted asses. If you somehow think that you are more brilliant than the people who made this movie, then you have bigger problems. This is an excellent movie, in more than one way. Maybe you haven’t experienced a conversation dicussion the meaning of life, and why we make the choices that we do. Maybe the fact that I watched this in an IMAX made me go "wow" but I think that it merited it regardless. I’m getting so tired of people yelling plot holes and it not ending up the way they hoped that I’m going to kill the neighbor’s cat.
Why do people have such a hard time accepting that Smith took over Bane’s body but no problem accepting that agents can move between bodies plugged into the Matrix? It’s the same damn thing! Neo cannot see the real world as he can the Matrix, he can only see the Machines in the real world as he can in the Matrix.
These guys are not stupid, stop accusing them of being so. Watch it twice maybe, I don’t know.
#19 | Comment by pottedmeat — November 6, 2003 @ 1:27 pm
I don’t know what movie you saw pottedmeat, maybe Reloaded, but Revolutions was very bad. The dialogue was horrible, no questions were answered, giant plot holes were abound and it just didn’t impress me. I think there is a lot of stuff on the cutting room floor that would’ve made this movie so much better.
#20 | Comment by Dugas of eenodol — November 6, 2003 @ 2:06 pm
Wow what a movie!!
Special effects were great, and the music track in this movie was by far the best. Of course that is my opinion, what do the rest of you think?
Monica Bellucci …… or should I say her cleavage, was great in the movie as well.
I also thought that the “mech warriors” were a bit over done, and yet that was the part of the movie that I really wanted to see. By over done, I mean they looked a bit fake in the movement, but it was still way cool. I’m not going to push the issue because what other current movie has mechs? None that I can think of!
**SPOILER** I would be lying if I said I had a small tear trickle down my face when Trinity died, but was glad to see that the movie played out the way that it did.
By far the movie was well worth the $7.25 I paid, and yes I will be going to see it again…probably during a daily matinee though.
If you have not gone to see it, and where a fan of the other 2, go and see it, it will put an end to the story…or will it? 😉

the original oracle is dead, died of cancer. the one in revolutions is the same person from the crappy ass video game.

The woman/actress/oracle of the first two movies died of diabetes… old storie. dont you read the news, you guys??? Before the release of the second movie was on the news that the woman died!!!
Anyways these two last movies were full of bad luck for the film team. If you havent read the news back then i can tell you what happened and why it was so hard to film it.

If your want the whole story, not just the point form. Go Google for it. Eventually, you will find out 2 diff. spoilers (or maybe more).
One says that Trinity is actually a man. Haha. The other 1 is of coz the orginal story….
Btw, any asian has watched it? I heard that Anthony Wong, the pervarted icon is in it. What character he plays?
#24 | Comment by unannonymous — November 6, 2003 @ 5:48 pm
Anthony Wong plays Ghost in the video game Enter the Matrix. I have yet to see the final movie so I can’t tell you if he appears or not. He is one of the team members on Niobe (Jada Pinkett Smith) ship.
#25 | Comment by smash — November 6, 2003 @ 6:17 pm
Pottedmeat-
Because movies require us to suspend disbelief, plot holes ruin things horribly for me. I am able to ‘pretend’ there is this fictional world with these set of facts…yet when the facts contradict themselves (as they did in Reloaded, yet to see Revolutions)…it RUINS the movie for me.
Aside from which, the scenes in Zion were filled with horrible wodden actors, worst of which was Laurence Fishburn. Terrible, terrible acting. I hadn’t seen acting that bad since Will Smith in MIB II.
#26 | Comment by smash — November 6, 2003 @ 6:19 pm
Potted Meat – You sound like such a fucking nerd right now, it’s absolutely hilarious.

#34 | Comment by vhw — November 6, 2003 @ 11:21 pm
I absolutely loved it. A very fitting end to the trilogy.
(some spoliers)
You all seem to take this movie at face value. I mean what the hell do you guys want, seems almost all of you would never have been satisfied no matter what the hell they put on screen.
It has a bunch of obvious Christianity and some not so obvious Hinduism mixed in. I see the entire Matrix saga as a story of the second coming of Christ. Why does everything have to be so god damned literal with you people.
–> Neo stopping machines in the real world. How’d he do that? How’d he see in total darkness. Neo can fly, ressurect, not to mention die for the people of the world. But wait…didn’t Jesus walk on water, resurrect people, ressurect himself, fly, die for the people of the world. Damndest thing, but if you take the latter and make it sci-fi, there seems to be some parallels. Oh yeah, *Cough* Neo died in a cross formation *Cough*. Must be a consequence.
Not to mention the whole idea of reloading and Hinduism. Goal of which is to keep being reincarnated until you finally join the God Brahman. Didn’t the Matrix reload until the "One" finally joined the source? Wha?
Regardless, the movie has some incredible action sequeneces. The fight scene at the club is a good starter, the defending of Zion is amazing. The flowing sentinals are incredible. OH, and the final fight scene? Simply beautiful. Amazing. $$$.
Well its up to you guys in the end. This is just my opinion. Dont like it? Like it matters. The Matrix Trilogy is going to be around for a long time. Oh, and so i dont alienate the younger readers……..cockwads, dildos and asstards. Happy?
#35 | Comment by palmer — November 6, 2003 @ 11:28 pm
A few things. First, arguing about a movie in a thread for discussin the movie seems to be somewhat sensible. Secondly thess, we’ll ignore your prissiness pertaining your viewing of Kill Bill in which you imagined a plot hole. I’m assuming your humor at what I said referred to that. I’m saying that these guys are not stupid, and whatever plot holes you think are there (no one has cited one yet) wouldn’t have been left by the guys (not to mention the hundreds of other editors) doing this movie who are thousands of times smarter than the dicks who read this site. I’m not even saying I’m smart enough to figure anything out, just smart enough to know that I don’t have all the answers, at least not until I see it several more times.
#36 | Comment by pottedmeat — November 6, 2003 @ 11:41 pm
Palmer, I like your review. I think the train of thought, though, extends much beyond a simple portrayal of Christianity or Hinduism. Someone who’s taken an introductory theology or philosophy class will see the common threads that run through it, particularly in the realm of theology. The debate about free will and predestination is one that’s common in both areas, and one that’s played out in these last two movies (which, if you will note, are actually one movie presented in two parts)
#37 | Comment by pottedmeat — November 6, 2003 @ 11:44 pm

I am a fan. Dork? I’ve been accused of that yes. However, not at first sight. I have custom Agent Smith prop sunglasses that an acquaintance and I have painstakingly put together from scratch. I even have a Samsung Matrix Phone. I saw Revolutions last night. I have to say. I think of all the trilogies that have attempted to create the "fitting end", The Matrix does the best. I think I speak for a few fans when I say that we expect the best and the worst out of the movies. We sit on pins and needles during the movie following consistancy and flow of the plot. We can be the toughest critics. I think that goes for fans of any movie, sports team, what have you. I never did it to just enjoy a movie. I never freed myself to just enjoy the fucking flick. But not this time. Anxiety was absent as I sat, and it was good. This post is not so that I can tell you what I didn’t like or what I wanted to see. Why ruin it? Make your own mind up about the post and the Flick.

neo able to stop sentinels in real world probably cause he caught it from smith? like how smith caught his ‘the ONE’ abilities. i dunno bout u guys, but the fighting scene with smith and neo somehow resembles superman and doomsday (how the lunched were laid, how smith smashed neo to the ground). Anyway bout the controversial topics on sub parts, i guess the only way to fully understand it is by thinking really hard about the ‘neo and trinity flew the ship up to the shiny sky above the scorched one’. It explains alot. =D

Hey Alejandro, interesting way to look at the movie, I must say that was the first time in a movie that the trailors meant absolutely nothing to me. I just wanted to see how the story would play out….but I gotta say…aren’t mechs the coolest!?!?!?
By the way…where did you get the phone from? I have not seen it anywhere around my area (Altoona, PA) and who is the phone carrier?
I do also agree with the fact that the trilogy is probably one of the best…..if not the best. (Aside from the TMNT series, not including the last one! so I guess that is out of the running..hehe.)

I don’t claim it needs to be "pedestrian", but lets settle on "accesible". If it isn’t. then there doesn’t seem much point to a movie.

May I say, Justin, only yesterday, I posted my comments on Rvolutions and I mentioned my phone and Sunglasses and I’ve gotten a few e-mails already. Thanks for the indirect PR. Anyway, Samsung Matrix Phone: (fulling working gets calls, and looks just like the one Trinity and Morpheus use in the Movie.) On ebay where the remaing are being sold for 800 to 1000 bucks are the only place to get them and they are activated by Sprint. If you got the money, it worth it since these are one of those items that will being heavy returns on your investment. The Agent Smith Sunglasses I make where custom made from a disign I made from stills of Revolutions and Reloaded. The highest quality material. I can make more. Pricy though at $175.00. That will cover my cost. If you want more info on the phone or Sunglasses let me know. Pics of the sunglasses available upon e-mail. Final note for those of you who don’t like the Matrix Movies: should read the latest post on Masturbation since that the only thrill they ever get out of life. Haters. But, if never had haters, how could we even be hated? Keep up with the good work Jusin.

There’s so many comments that no one will probably read mine, but oh well…
Let me start off by saying, they ruined the Matrix with these terrible sequels.
The first movie was almost perfectly made. Notice that I said how it was made and not necessarily that it was a perfect movie.
Reloaded – btw sounds like a title Metallica came up with – was extremely disappointing. Not only did parts seem like a Startreck episode, but there were overly long pointless retarded scenes, including the infamous "orgy scene". In short: the movie was gay, but it kept you entertained with some of its cool action scenes; other action scenes, however, were way too long and were meaningless, which made them boring.
Revolutions, although was less stupid than Reloaded because it left out tons of gay Yoda-like philosophical shit, was sooo fucking boring, because there were hardly any cool MATRIX action scenes – most of the movie centered on other characters that no one gives a fuck about who had long scenes fighting in Zion….oh and does anyone else realize that they totally ripped off of those cargo-loading exo-skeleton things from the movie Aliens.
The Matrix (the first one) is one of my favorite movies ever!
Reloaded was pretty lame/gay, but had some eye-candy as far as action scenes go.
Revolutions was BORING, plain-and-simple, just like the end of the movie…I actually dozed off a couple times at the IMAX while watching it.
Enter the Matrix (video game) was a fun kick-ass game that had a better story and a way better plot development than the two sequels of the Matrix.

NEO is the Matrix! Don’t you dumb fucks get it?!? The Matrix is a loop……it spits out a NEO who then rejoins the Matrix to "reboot" it of sorts.
It all makes sense!

MATRIX REVOLUTIONS SUCKED. It’s like me filming my cat taking a shit – yeah, 20 bucks says that’ll pack the house more than this turd. Throw in some sex, nudity and some biracial action with the dog and you’ve got a blockbuster.

omg…… well obviously matrix 3 has to have a shit more zion scenes, cuz its the freakin battle for zion. so ya think a shit load of cool action scenes in the matrix will actually make the movie make more sense? hell no! it’s all about zion in this one, thats the whole point of the freakin movie.
7th one- that is so fucking retarted, there cant be a 7th. you know why?? because the crop fields have been cleared! thus, no people inside the matrix, theretofore pointless to have the one, because he would have no purpose.
movie itself- as if you people could make a better movie, stop being all hypocritical, you’re all a bunch of retards which prove how you cant make or come up with anything better. props to those pro-matrix peeps
