For anyone who was concerned about Portman's age in those paparazzi topless photos, go watch Beautiful Girls and then feel really bad about still fancying Portman. Obviously there's Leon as well, but that really IS just not right. Beautiful Girls is also the greatest film ever made, if that helps.

Before Sunset has been the best film I've seen at the cinema (translation: movie I've seen at the movie theater) this year, by quite a distance. I was unsure about seeing it, because Before Sunrise has one of the best unresolved endings ever, and a sequel would have to ruin that. But when I did was ...

...clearly unaware of just how bad Bush's world policies are. As I said previously, I can't comment on his internal policies (abortion, gay-marriage, stem-cell research), and Bush may well be doing really well on stuff like the economy and crime (though I somehow doubt it). BUT, if you think that he...

Bush won. Americans who voted for him are _______________. ...hopefully NOT going to have to reap what they sow. They've re-elected a president who managed in just two years to destroy the wealth of goodwill and sympathy towards the United States after 9/11. Anyone voting for Bush because of his re...

Very amusing indeed. Though it seems to reflect ikuve's personal fantasies more than any real psychological analysis of Lohan. All the evidence points to her being a very dirty girl indeed. She doesn't come off as the type of girl that wears thongs. She almost certainly does own a thong or two, but ...

Jennifer Ellison, some bird off second rate scouse soap Brookside won Hell's Kitchen, though I didn't watch it. She is quite fit though: http://www.theladsmag.co.uk/ice/feb03/pix/ Former child star as well, which I guess fits i...

I know some British slang. Picked most of it up from movies and video games. Here are a few examples: blaged = robbed sixes and sevens = crazy lorry = truck boot = trunk (car trunk) I also know some Irish slang. I found a website with all Irish slang-words, but I can't remember most of them. Here a...

(wombler @ Aug 2 2004, 06:45 PM) Just to show it works both ways, we still laugh heartily whenever anyone refers to the film (sorry, movie) Free Willy, and of course in England the word 'fanny' refers to the far ruder "front-bottom" so any Yank coming over here and referring to their fann...

Faggots are actually quite nice in a rich gravy with chips (that's English chips as opposed to crisps, which you call chips). They're not exactly a delicacy though, more a solid working mans food. Us Brits are of course well aware of the more recent American definition - glad you find it so amusing....
