Pick on the poor girl?? She LIED! She lied when she said she'd never lip-synch, lied that she had any talent, lied that it was the band's fault, lied about her natural hair color, etc etc. I have no sympathy.

She's unattractive, dances like a trained monkey, her lyrics suck rust, and it WASN'T backing vocals. Backing vocals do not sound exactly like the main vocals. Backing vocals are generally harmonies or specific words. Even if she was singing live to the main vocal track, it's still cheating to enhance her voice, make it sound stronger.
Christina Aguilera doesn't have to do that, and I'm not a fan of hers.

Oh, and I am certainly no fan of Jessica. She looka lika man. :bah:

Deadmeat, these are usually studio musicians that are hired to be Simpson's (or Spears', or N'Sync, or any other pop lyricists that can't find the E string on a guitar) bandmates. They are usually tight, extremely professional, and the kind of people who can belt out any tune you shout out to them. But they don't make millions. I really felt sorry for them when she blamed them for the fuck-up. But you know, they were good enough to get hired for studio/live work on national TV, they could walk away from this and still have a stable profession. While they will still perform and record music, she will be in rehab wondering what happened to her career. Good riddance to bad white trash.

Hi Justin and Crew.

I've been reading awhile, but this is my first post.
This ordeal just infuriates me as an artist/musician.
I am watching her live on the Today Show right now,
and it is amazing how fake and well-rehearsed her
interview is. I will grant her this when it comes to her
excuse that it was the drummer's fault: you can obviously
see the drummer looking down continuously at the sampler.
I use my laptop to play samples when my band plays live,
and I know how easy it is to accidently cue up the wrong loop
live. It nevertheless sickens me that this is the music that sells,
and that this is what popular with kids. I hope that she isn't shoved
down our throats much longer with this fiasco, but hell even KISS lip-syncs
now... blah...

Saw her performance on whatever the awards show was last night, the one being narrated by the disturbingly taught-skinned plastique lady. The short of it, Ashlee should stick with lip-synching. And then die.
