Is anyone else scratching their head after this post? Dead pixels on a CRT? There are no set pixels on a CRT, it's just a cathode ray firing against the back of the screen. CRT = no native pixels, no native resolution. Your monitor may be fucked up but you do not have dead pixels. What a fucking dumbshit.
dead pixel is the only thing i could think to explain it fuckface. i have small spots in the crt (well, had, since i now have a samsung 712n lcd "r0x0rz ur b0x0rz")and they don't go away. it might be little burn spots, but the best way to explain it, and the only short way (since i am lazy) is to use the common term 'dead pixels'. so sue me, i didn't say it right. i'm not big on hardware anyway, but i can outdo you and your mama with anything os/software related.

oh, and who the fuck are you to judge me, senor tres posts? get a job.

as for longhorn v. tiger, tiger is definitely the best mac os yet. i would love to play with safari instead of intercrap exploder or firefuck-me-i-can't-leech-off-irc, but by no means does a mac os even compete with a windows os. sure, they are both similar operating systems that are based on the same platform, but they are meant for different people and uses. i have had macs, pcs, and am currently on an xp pro system, with a dedicated linux run counter-strike server in the closet. i know my operating systems. windows is meant more for people who like versatility, gaming, and compatibility with just about any software or hardware out there. macs are for people with simple needs, or a heavy focus on media editing. as someone who fits both the media editing and gaming/versatility needs, i of course, own a pc. i haven't paid a dime for any of the games, music, movies, or programs running, except for half life 1. half life 2 came with my video card. i love pcs.

thats the biggest load of bulkl i have ever heard. Windows has always been a cheap imitation of MAC OSes.. you can do everything a PC does on a Mac. but better and quicker. The operating system isnt just better in terms of interface but is also rock solid with its unix foundation, secure as well as stable, as well as the most intelligent and efficient OS out there. Simple needs? You mean like complex video editing? Music creation? Scientific research(including the Mars missions)... yeah those are simple needs. Also known as some of the more taxing processes. And compatibility??? COme on! 1. I can run any type of software you can on my Mac. @. PCs are TERRIBLE for compatibility... things often dont work and are poorly integrated wheras the Mac tends to be true plug and play as well as amazing Application integration.

and Games? Who gives a shit. A glorified gaming platform.... big whoop. Thats all i use my PC computer for.

Apple Inovates and Microsoft is a slow moving turd that cant do anything but leave stains wherever it goes. Longhorn will be a joke. Just watch Spotlight destroy longhorns search bullshit and it is coming out in a couple months whereas longhorn remains vaporware and will be for a couple Years. Windows is a horrendous trainwreck. "Maybe if we make it prettier this time we can cover up all the useless bullshit we refuse to fix and make work well"

So I guess maybe if you ordered it as soon as they announced it you might get it a bit sooner.

I don't care what screencap you pulled off the Apple Store, that's not proof of anything. You're basically saying that people who ordered their minis are lying about recieving their shipment notifications? Why? What possible motivation would they have to do that?

Do everyone a big favor and think before you post next time. Thanks...

what i meant is I would be surprised if people recieved them before the 22nd.... because it was described to us y corporate as a hard relase date. [edit] yeah that story is the 18th, very unlikely people would get something that ships around then before the 22nd.

and let me say, iLife '05 is amazing aas is iWork. Pages is such a fun and easy program to use.
