It's all up to the person. I've seen stupid looking people in both ricers and muscle cars. I prefer muscle cars, simply because of the amount of ricers that live around me. It's nice to see old school again, but high gas prices may see the fall (again) of muscle cars.

Now, the resurgence of "new" muscle (new GTO, charger, redesigned mustang & new Shelby mustang) might be something to watch.

I'm quite partial to the GTO and the New Charger. But I've seen some pretty nice imports come through, like the new Mitsubishi Eclipse and Mitsubishi Lance Evo 9. I'm also partial to the Mazda RX-8.

But when it comes to looks, nothing beats an American Muscle Car.

It's not muscle, if it's to be front wheel drive.

Well, Ford redesigned the Mustang with the old school look to it. Dodge followed suit with rehashing the Charger (which looks a tad like the Magnum). That left Chevy alone in the dark. They weren't really anticipating the popularity of the 2 rehashes. Thats why they retired the Z28 Camaro (which looked like shit). The new look is not exactly the best thing that Chevy has put out, but hey it sure beats the new Nissan Z concept.

Sweet. Nice shots of all.

The Challenger is a little too much retro for me. Looks like a cartoon.

Did they have any upgraded Crossfires there?

Which autoshow was this?

To me they need to return to the retro look. Now I agree the Challenger is far to much a reproduction. But the new camaro has a look that seems like it was an evolution to the old 69.

I'm not so sure about the crossfires. First off they're Chrysler. Second they just haven't got the foothold that a car of their type should have after the amount of time that it has been out. I mean who's really into the 2 seater roadster that Saturn has out? Umm the uhh...?

Now the new mustangs are bad ass (sorry to say). I'm enjoying this foray into old school style. I hope it's here to stay.

Detroit's North American International Auto Show held in January. I worked in the security department because our company's software was being used. When bored, I wandered around and photographed. I took requests on my livejournal since I'm really NOT a car guy, and didn't know what to take. The Infinity G35 was for Angelbabe and the Focus was for Dex (wtfd, he HAS a focus why does he need pics of it?). Lots of it was just me selecting random shit.

Incidentally, I loved the Challenger. I like the retro muscle car look. Barring that, I'd prefer more 80's old-school style sharp angles (Dolorean anyone?). I dislike the rounded and cab-forward design styles.

She wishes she had a G35 coupe. Alas, she has an Accord Coupe...

However, my Honda is Sapphire Blue Pearl (sparkly!) so I'm basically happy.

I asked Old to take pics of the G35 Coupe Concept so I could get an idea of what my next car is gonna look like. ;)

I know someone with the G35 coupe and he loves it. He says it drives like it has a way bigger engine than it actually does. I believe its a 230hp V6.

I prefer the 350Z. I know I'm alone on that.
