Steak over potatoes?

Sorry. Back to the topic.
I would think that if a good number of people felt a law was wrong, they would change it
Singapore is not a haven for anti regulatory sentiment.

They have this wonderful supersuit called the Official Secrets Act.

As long a consensus is made that you have been endangering a government secret, in this case a Death Penalty Mandate... They can disappear you till the Ewoks land in Area 51.

Linked info on it
Excerpt: Singapore, meanwhile, enlists some of Asia's strictest legislation aimed at the media and by default is home to one of the region's tamest press corps. The Internal Security Act, the Sedition Act and the Official Secrets Act allow for detention without trial and other discretionary powers which keep the press in check -- though, it should be noted, Singapore has not jailed any journalists since the late 1970s, as far as I am aware.

True Story. You can't hear the thunder so how can you even raise a storm? Even as we speak the Tuong article is embedded somewhere in fartspace in the Singaporean paper if at all.

Don't carry around nearly a pound of heroin in countries that have a mandatory death sentence for such crimes, no matter how "good" your reasons.

Here endeth the lesson.

Tuong got a short drop and a sudden stop.

It's sad.

But it's the law.

Heroin enter, life leaves.

Singapore 1 Australia 0.

And an important lesson it is. The question that remains is whether it is sound policy for countries to have such penalties.

Angelbaby is right. After much thought on the subject, he knew the law. His brother was a fuck up and he pays the price. Despite his best intentions, he should have let his brother learn the lesson..although it would seem that his brother having watched him die before his eyes should be enough of a lesson.

My mistake caused my brothers death. Perhaps this will be a lesson to all.
