Justin wrote:so, who's got the game and how far along are you? i'm up to chapter 4-4 now with 11 and a half hours on the clock. RE4 is amazing. if you don't already have a gamecube, it's worth buying one just to be able to play this game. it's that good.
I think we're at the same spot. I'm right at the boss fight against Salazar (little Napoleon guy). You're right, this game is rocking my face off.

The best part about the game is that they were able to keep the intensity high throughout the whole thing. It's literally non-stop action. I have about 10 hours on the clock, and not even on disc two. Take into account that there's really no puzzles, and that means 10 hours of pure action. It also has a strange addicting quality. Find myself playing for hours on end and not even noticing... The aiming took a bit to get used to, but once I did I've been making headshots like nothing.

Seriously, if you have a GC and don't have this game, then you don't like video games. If you don't have a GC, you need to buy one now.

I beat the game a short while ago. It wasn't all that hard at the end, as long as you got the magnum. Its an amazing gun.

But now i get the project ada mission and the mercenaries game to play, so that should be some fun.

only if you play through professional mode. you dont get to bring over your upgraded weapons from the first playthrough.

Just picked this game up.

At chapter 3 so far and it seems like more tactical/action horror rather than survival horror. Definitely more a sequel to RE3 in terms of action than any of the others.

me likes. I find it refreshing that after all the (over)hype of halo2's and GTA:SA of the last few months people are finally recognizing really good games like MGS3 and RE4.

I beat it a couple days ago too. Assignment Ada isn't too tough, but the Mercenaries mode is. I'm playing through the game a second time too with all my stuff. My upgraded Blacktail is kicking ass.

Also, anyone see Ashley in the alternate costume yet? Wow.

leon is so hardcore. nothing scares him. if i were him going through those sewers, i'd've just given up and started crying in a corner. then one of those fly things would vomit acid on my head and you'd see my face melt off.

That wouldn't be a very fun video game now would it?

have you ever played clock tower 3? your main character can actually get scared. and if she does, she can't walk properly and just breaks down sometimes.

stupid game though. i prefered clock tower 1. one of the scariest games of its time.

He has gone through RE2 though. So he's probably used to it in a way by now

Those invisible giant bugs in the sewers are definitely tough. I just got through it by back-tracking when I was halfway done and saving in the middle of it. The whole face melt animation was funny and sick.

This game is insanely fun. The weapon upgrades and customization are a cool touch. The caste is huge and very detailed. I find it funnier that Ashley yells "pervert" at Leon after you do a suplex move on the monks. Never mind the fact that I just saved her ass...(and splattered brains all over her feet).

I played Clock Tower 1 ages ago. That's the one with scissors man right? I'M RUNNING WITH SCISSORS!
