What's the longest single viewing stretch you have ever a) attempted and B) succeeded at watching a movie marathon and/or DVD session?

a) Lord of The Rings movie marathon - 11 hours in total at the cinema. The ring fell into lava... and I collapsed... literally from utter exhaustion.
B) Mine would have to be going Seasons 1 and 2 of 24 in an almost 3 day session stopping only for smokes and food and 1 hour because my eyeballs and fingers had begun to tingle...

Now the most important question..

C) Would you ever attempt something like that again?

Star Wars IV, V, VI in honor of the final Star Wars (III). We didn't watch I, and II because those are shit and they don't count.

Sadly, I think I'd tag III as the worst of the worst. " ohh let's tie everything together in the last 30 minutes of screen time!!!"

I had the joy of trying to sit through Ren & Stimpy's box set. I think my mind is jello.

Trying being the key word there. Ren & Stimpy is entertaining but a marathon viewing can be dangerous to mental health.

I've had a fair share of Anime viewing marathons. My longest being having watched the full Initial D series in one night. 12 hours of wishing I had a shit box car that could beat an RX-7 and the like.

I bow down to Mao though, he is king of maration viewing... :omfg:

Even Jack Bauer doesn't do two seasons of 24 in three days.

Don't try it. Honest. I watched them with a friend and after we finished we went to the doc's and was diagnosed with extremely low blood pressure. I'm sure that means something but I don't know what it would mean.

Blood pressure is what makes blood want to go where it's supposed to. If it's low then that means there's not a lot of it and your blood doesn't want to go anywhere.

Marathon viewing makes your blood tired.

It reminds me of that Chinese dude who got up from gaming for fifty hours straight and collapsed dead, or whatever.

Just finishised watching all 5 of Kevin Smith's Jersey Trilogy pictures (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back), but I had to stop to change DVD's and had to pause Dogma to answer the door to get a pizza I ordered.

I guess you'd argue that the game was inherently dangerous as created, i.e. addictive, and they should have considered the health effects when making it?

Whatever, I agree with you that it's stupid, and this is the first I've heard of this law suit rumor.

I watched all 3 of the Godfather movies in a row.

But I always have to be doing something, so I worked out/cleaned/etc while I did it.
But by the end of it I really wanted some spaghetti and a hot Italian man.
