*ehem*
I feel so bad for Ashley. She's worked so hard to get to the point where she was before this all happened. Stupid SNL just ruined her career!
This is going to stick her a negative spotlight. With all the attention on her, people might start paying more attention and realize that she...sucks. Dammit, the secret is out. She'll never survive. If this leads to people finding out that her sister is an idiot, they're both screwed.
Of course, she may be able to recover and make good money reviving the inbred version of River Dance.

Wow. They're pissed.
...Not that there's anything wrong with that!

from ashleesimpson.net:
In Ashlee's defense, yes, there was a backup track BUT Ashlee did sing and the band did play. Certain shows insist on playing backup tracks. Ashlee has no reason to lip sync. It's too bad she only performed one song. SNL played the wrong backup track. They played Pieces of Me again. It wasn't really the bands fault.
The show insisted on having a backup track? I claim bullshit, but at least her awful dance was pretty funny.

That did the trick, grazie.DMBrules wrote:It didn't work for me either when I tried to click on the link, but when I saved it to my hard drive it worked. give it a try.shiftomnimega wrote: Having trouble seeing this vid. Is there a codec that's required?
That must be one of the wackest joints I've EVAR seen. Apparent communication break down there.
Did it look like some of the band members have smirks on their faces? Conspiracy.
What Ashlee did was pretty unprofessional just all around. Good entertainers and good performers don't just walk off stage like that (unless maybe if you're Courtney Love or Axl Rose), especially if it's network TV and perhaps some people in the crowd are there to see you specifically. They played the wrong song? Deal with it. Good entertainers improvise all the time. The hoe down was a nice improvise... for the 2 seconds it lasted before she walked off stage stranding her band.
Then she blames her band!?? A more proper response would be "we played the wrong song." Now, that may show them as real dolts because they could have always stopped and started a different song and just hope the sound guy for SNL caught on... but whatever. There's no excuse for stranding (then blaming) your band.
That being said, I can totally understand how the SNL guy played "Pieces of Me" twice because, well, does Ashlee Simpson have any other songs??

Having the cheek to blame her band like that ... fuckin whiney slag ..acting like she is the talented one that holds them together, pathetic.
