Anyone know any good, free movie-editing downloads?

windows movie maker to add some pretty shitty effects, virtualdub (nandub) if you only want to convert to divx/xvid

ulead video studio works great but it costs money but if you're interested you could probably try a 'demo' off torrents

Just buy one.

Final Cut Pro.

or set up an Avid suite.

Premiere is also very good. Or Director MX.

Final Cut Pro is the easiest to use and you get genuine professional quality stuff. I have a friend who edited a full length studio feature with it.
DLT Prom Queen 4 years running.

No, I sent one. Angelbaby probably broke the internets again. And of course the default state is to not save outbound messages.

And I can't remember what I told you, other than wondering if you were opposed to 'non free' programs.
