Superbowl Predictions

Post by Phife » 11 Aug 2006 23:11

So the NFL is starting soon....so it's time to make predictions.

Here are mine:

Seattle vs Indianapolis in the Superbowl and Seattle wins.

Everyone is thinking that Indy is taking a hit this year without James, but he might as well have been non-existant last year and they won 14 games. They have to succeed in the playoffs eventually. And if their defense (which is good) had improved more, then I would have picked them.

And lost of analysts are making too much of Hutchison's departure from Seattle. Instead they should focus on the fact the Alexander is a beast, Hasselbeck is the most underrated QB in the league, and that the WR corps is going to be getter now that Jackson is coming back from his injury. (Not to mention their stout defense.)
Nada.

To go out on a quasi-limb I'll take Atlanta and Kansas City. Both teams have dominant running games and have made key additions on defense. I think John Abraham will be a difference maker for Atlanta.

With Vick at QB, the Falcons cannot win the title. I think that is one of the Ten Commandments.

I'm going with Cleveland and Arizona.

Only because I am always wrong, might as well be really wrong.

At least 'Zona is defensible.

I agree that the Seahawks could totally make it to the SuperBowl again this year... in fact I'm hoping they do.

They really caught my eye last year when I was just starting to really watch and understand football, and they impressed me. I went to a SuperBowl party the ONLY person rooting for them... and even though I was mercilessly made fun of, I would gladly do it again.

Hey, hey, the Browns could win six games this year. I hate being from Cleveland...

Carolina vs. Kansas City.
