Tropic Thunder

Much like Pineapple Express, I lol'd until my cheeks hurt.

Robert Downey, Jr. was genious and the trailers at the beginning are epic win.

Dex's plan sounds alot more interesting to watch. That's for sure.

Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and especially Will Ferrell's comedies haven't been doing it for me, lately. As a matter of fact, Will Ferrell sucks. I'll probably see Tropic Thunder when it comes out on DVD, but after "Meet the Parents" and its sequel, I don't hold much hope at all. (Poor DeNiro must have blown his paychecks gambling or something.)

Trust me, this is MUCH funnier than the Meet the Parents flicks.

ps. There will be no movie involving my cheeks.

After having watched this as well as (more recently) W.,

I have come to realize that the best thing would be Richard Dreyfuss as Dick Cheney dancing to "Get Back" by Ludacris in front of various images of real destruction and mayham intercut with a map of the Middle East that has the countries therein slowly changing from enemy red to friendly beige as American flag icons indicating military bases and/or occupied cities appear, surrounding and crushing the ever dwindling resistance.

If you've seen both movies I think you will immediately understand.

Maybe throw in a couple of passages of Dreyfuss' wonderful American Empire speech from the movie, though that might be too much.

It is just so right, though.

I saw TT last week... and it was pretty funny. I'd give it a 8/10, only because I expected a little more.

Don't get me wrong, it was great... but I felt that with a cast of so many funny/talented actors (and Ben Stiller) that the movie would make me die from laughter. There were a few parts that just made me go :?

That's how I felt...it was good...but it just seemed to disappoint, slightly.
