Just like you hate how kids don't help you carry your groceries, or how you can never get the timer on your betamax recorder to work? :?

The PC term is apparently "Trekkers", so Trekkies.

They do make very good points in the video, I have actually seen the point about young, attractive people made by people who weren't aware of any satires being filmed nearby.

I've also heard people complain that if it's an alternate universe, the how does the bridge crew still get together?

I was honestly at a loss.

It's fate.

Plus, it's a movie. Tell those people to stop over thinking everything.

I managed to watch this:

In the USA.
In IMAX.
In Kennedy Space Centre.
After the Atlantis Launch.

I dare someone to better that in major sci-fi geekness :D
Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning.

I liked the fact that the "viewscreens" in the Fed. ships were replaced with actual windows with heads-up displays on them. Such a small detail added more realism and believability to the bridge, in my opinion. So much of this movie was a much-needed step up for Trek. I'd definitely watch it again.
