True Blood

Post by Dex » 10 Jun 2010 20:30

First of all, I love this show.
I didn't really like the first few episodes of season 1, it was corny and romantic, and I actually stopped watching it after episode 5. Then, I heard that Anna Paquin got naked, so I started watching where I left off. Turns out, it became a pretty cool show. People started dying and it became a very good drama/mystery show, instead of a romantic BS show.

Second of all, season 1 ended with a BANG. It made me so glad that I started watching where I left off, because TB is a really good show. Well acted, well directed... well everything.

Third of all, season 2 was 10000000x better than season 1. They didn't just turn it up to 11, they turned it up to 11 billion. The show I almost gave up on turned out to be my favorite cable TV show of all time (sorry Rescue Me & The Shield). I'm so happy season 3 is almost on... and I hope most of you are too. For anyone who hasn't seen it before, you need to rent/netflix that shit ASAP, or at the very least, watch this great rapid-recap that I saw on HBO tonight (watching True Blood season 2 repeats)

Completely agree about the shmaltz shit, that almost ruined it for me too. I enjoyed the first season and have been waiting for the second season to start on english television. Think I'll just catch up online though. One of the highlights of first season was seeing Lynn Collins sex scenes. She played Kayla Silverfox in Xmen Origins.

How is it not on TV overseas yet? Even the DVD/Blu-rays are out (for region 1-4)

Forget Lynn Collins, what about Lizzy Caplan (Cloverfield, Party Down) who was basically naked for every scene she was in?

Yeah she'd get some homemade custard too. It has been on overseas television but only through pay-for satellite channels. Unless of course it has been on normal channels and I've just been missing it all this time
