I really enjoyed the first episode. I chose to watch that last night instead of Dexter!!!! (the rest of my time has been chewed up with yardwork and Fallout 3).

Nah there was no chick going undercover into the bad guy's gang. Although he was a 'newbie' rookie being trained...

Ok what are the theories (or reasons if you got them) for what is discovered in the barn at the end of tonight's episode?

Given what the old vet said to Rick regarding his belief that every disease eventually has a cure, I'm guessing the zombies in the barn are friends and relatives he managed to somehow round up, and he believes can somehow be saved. That, or his bible belt upbringing won't allow him to kill fellow human beings, no matter what state they are in.

fashionably late to the Walking Dead party, I only just started watching on netflix a few months ago. Now in the middle of season 3 I am into the show, "committed" if you will.

HOWEVER

After Breaking Bad, its hard to find a new favorite show. I started Sons of Anarchy last year, got into it till the came home from Ireland, then bailed on it. The writing just got contrived and weak. The Walking Dead is kinda tip toeing around the same territory for me right now. I dont really need every episode to be an epic cliff hanger with a brand new plot twist. Its as if some plot lines just get abandoned on the writers table.

Im trying really hard to let go and just "buy into" the theme but every time someone is being chased by a zombie and instead of running steadfastly in the opposite direction of the walker. They seem to lose control of their legs, fall to the ground, roll over and do the panic, screaming while trying to do a limp, backwards crab walk, kicking your heels into the ground seemingly getting no traction.

in season 1 the walkers seemed to be relatively uncoordinated and somewhat slow as if their motor skills were limited by the fact that they were, say, dead decaying flesh zombies with no sense of logic. For instance, when Rick encounters Morgan and his son Duane the walkers seem to just roam about, in a bit of a lethargic manner. Fast forward to season 3, the walkers have developed the ability to all out sprint and organize into threatening mobs. Which brings me to another question, at Morgans house, it seemed that Morgan had to take cover and barricade himself in the house at sundown. In a bit of a "I Am Legend" way, the walkers would begin to hit the streets nocturnally at dusk. Moving forward walkers are active at all times, not to mention with a keen sense of hearing and smell.

hello....

this thing on...?

BTW, hot as shit when Shane fucked Lori from behind in the woods just before Rick made his resurrection. /fap
