This segment is great, not because of the guest, and not because it's an overly funny segment; but instead because it shows clearly Stephen Colbert's talents. He manages to be creative - pushing a send-up of Martha Stewart's cooking show back at her. He manages to be funny - the banter between them (and what he does at the very end!). He manages to keep her in check - doesn't let her take over as she keeps trying to change his recipes. If you notice, he's not doing it from a teleprompter.
