Bionic Woman?

The pr for it did not make me happy. That is why, but I've never seen it.

The pr for this show didn't make me happy, either, but I saw it and it is decent.

She was a struggling bartender before she became a bionic woman, after, that fell by the wayside (in fact finance never factors into the story).
There never was a government conspiracy storyline going on.
Her sister isn't deaf, I don't know if that was supposed to be an original plot point or not.
I took the girl watching her run thing as just cheesy, not some dramatic Women Power statement.

In a nutshell, I'm a sucker for the chick hero dramas (Alias, etc.) especially when they add in the personal dramas.
Wait I forgot. Then who the heck was her bf working for if not some secret military operation? He didn't just pull out all that bionics technology out of his ass. (Yah, I watched it, if only for the first two eps, during my mission to see if I can find network TV to watch on every weeknight.)

Now THERE'S a show worth watching.

As for why Bionic Woman tanked, my guess was simple lack of hype living-up-to-ness. It wasn't horrendous, and I'm sure if you put it on SPACE or something it'd get a decent cult following, but the hype that this was THE new show to beat was clearly overblown (speaking of which, who WAS the most watched new show this year?). I remember reading one particularly ridiculous review about how it was the show for everyone: action and hot chicks for the guys, story of the independent woman for the girls, family friendly message about how hard it is to raise a younger sibling decently, all that... ...it was as if after years of the turd that TV has given us that it'll all be reconciled in a shower of bionic bliss.

As for T:SCC, I didn't like the PR, like Seriously, and after Bionic bit me in the ass I wasn't too keen on changing up my schedule to watch it.

Just because her boyfriend worked for the government, doesn't mean there was a whole "alias" caliber spy vs. spy drama going on.

Say it isn't true!!
Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning.

Even though I've never seen it...I wanted to... so I was said to read when Full Nelson Reilly said this. And I looked. He's right.

They never ordered any more episodes beyond the trial amount that already ran...so... it's game over.

4 episodes in and it's already getting boring.

Are they ever gonna do anything interesting with this damned concept?
