Caprica

Post by AngelBaby » 10 May 2009 15:06

Just got around to watching the pilot DVD tonight, and that was frakkin' good stuff.

They certainly had a lot to live up to, and I think they're off to a fine start on the new series. Looking forward to watching the first season early next year.

So say we all.

Knowing that all Centurians are 16 year old girls really gives them a depth that just wasn't there before.

Knowing that all Centurions are 16 year old girls that enjoy virtual orgies really gives them a depth that just wasn't there before.

Finally watched it tonight.
1. Centurions aren't 16yo girls. Just the first one was. I think the one in the test simulation was a different model, with a different AI imprint on it. After the test was over, they showed the lab where the Zoe model was, who re-activated. I think shes going to be one of a kind.
...and she might have ruined the whole "daddy" fetish for me :nana:
2. Centurions/Cylons might be originally humans?
And they have personalities based on dead people's stored data?
3. Young Bill Adama had a poster on his wall that looked a lot like Cloud from Final Fantasy...
but it said STORM on it
4. I'm looking forward to this series starting next year :D

You are clearly wrong and centurians are clearly all tachikomaesques that had their vocorders removed so they didn't shrill up the basestars with their endless puling about fur is murder and save the whales and the careless tossing about of famous peoples' political soundbites.

Is it any wonder that the skin jobs wanted to have them lobotomized?

First time I watched it on my own I was like - meh not as good as I thought it would be.
Second time I watched it with a couple of friends I really enjoyed it - either needed the audience or needed a 2nd viewing.

Really looking forward to it!! I want those virtual interweb things to be a reality and scan me in as a young kid and go hunting on the orgy scenes - amirite?

Yeah, this really doesn't have anything to do with Caprica, but I'm putting it here anyway.

Looking forward to the rest of the pics from this spread. It should make for a nice front page post.

Very yumb :D. Hate to be picky, but Maxim; do they have phasers in Galatica?? I think not?

tamara's story was the most interesting to me. zoe and her mom are annoying as shit. i'm really hoping she landed face first on some jagged rocks.

Yeah, Zoe's mom needed to die on the train with everyone else in episode 1. She added nothing to the show other than to be a emo bitch.

Tamara's story was saving grace of this show... I can't tell you how many times I would check "how many minutes left in this boring show" when anything real-world was going on (not in V-world). It's not a bad show... but it's no BSG. Not even close.

Speaking of boring, Sister Clarice's actress/character/plot (everything about her) was annoyingly awful in every regard, including all the STO stuff. Whenever she and Zoe's mom would be in a scene together, I would seriously consider hitting fast forward.

Another nine episodes were supposed to be broadcast from January 2011 but on September 9, SyFy revealed Caprica would be returning sooner than expected on October 5, 2010, at 10 pm, bumping Sanctuary to Friday nights.
