Heroes

Personally I think the pacing is quite strong.
In the same way LOST season 1 managed to space out the content just enough to keep the developments interesting, Heroes is doing the same.
It was a slow starter for me too, but now it's probably my favourite show on TV.
I think the real test (as with most TV shows) will be the second season. I think writers always have a general idea of the plot direction, but they have as much time as they need to perfect the first season structure but only a short amount of time to work on the second's, so I'm still reserving the right to take back my pacing compliment if it all starts to fall apart (a la BSG...WTF S3?).

Oh come on, it's a shoe-in.....isn't it top of the ratings?
All I ever see is "NBC's TOP-RATED SHOW", I highly doubt the funders/creators/actors would shirk at the $-$ and turn away from such a strong response to it.
*edit of verification*
Started to get worried, so had to google it.

My money was on Sylar, and I won.
Fuck your time travel, I won.
EDIT:
Oh yeah, and the last battle is fire and ice olol
OMG wii wntd Armageddon butt got Ragnarok hilarious
Actually I do like that, if you can pick your apocalypse the Norse one is one to avoid, I think.
ALSO:
As much as I love him, if my main man Sylar couldn't cut open copycat emo bangs' head how could he get to the hair dye waitress's grey matter?
Maybe the Secret Service helped?
SON OF EDIT:
Oh yeah, one more thing:
What other super...taganist...was a watchmaker?

(Heroes has been having a great deal of trouble not ripping off Watchmen)
That's right.
Sylar is God.
And he's hungry for brains.
Ha ha, 1up on Nietzsche.
REVENGE OF THE SON OF THE EDIT:
Man, fuck Nietzsche.
Someone once mentioned to me, I can't remember whether it was in the intertron or reality, that homeslice went stark raving because of his huge mustache, because it blocked vital nutrients from getting into his body vis a vis trapping bits of food while he was eating.
I was dumbfounded.
I was struck dumb.
FRED WENT CRAZY BECAUSE OF HIS FACIAL HAIR
Man, this isn't Lost I shouldn't be talking about philosophers.

That. Ep. Rocked.
To answer Seriously's query, my guess would be that Claire can't heal her head wound as fast as Sylar can zip her skull open, and once he's scooping out her grey matter it's game over. Poor cheerleader.
I'd just like to reiterate the enormous amount of ass that last night's ep kicked.

Yeah and also.....if emo bang has the ability to heal, how come he has some huge ass scar on his face?Seriously wrote:As much as I love him, if my main man Sylar couldn't cut open copycat emo bangs' head how could he get to the hair dye waitress's grey matter?.
*edit* I just thought. It's been shown that they don't heal until the offending object has been removed (peter and the glass shard, claire in the car crash), so perhaps he has some gigantor piece of shrapnel stuck in his face or something.
Asides from that I agree with AB, that it was coo.
Everyone's fav nip turned out to be a massive chicken.
Still, this series has to be applauded for being able to still remain interesting with 2 eps to go to finale...
I'm so not over it like Lost.
Oh by the way... This excerpt from tv.com
" Law & Order, Scrubs survive; Heroes spin-off features online participation.
With the success of Heroes one of the recent bright spots for network NBC, it was not at all surprising to see the drama firmly entrenched in the Monday night primetime slot when NBC announced its fall lineup today. Heroes is back, with more tough-guy poses.
What was a bit surprising, however, was a six-episode spin-off of the series titled Heroes: Origins. The show will run during the Heroes mid-season break, says Reuters, and detail a brand new character each week.
The characters' fates will be in the hands of the viewers, as online voting will propel one of the half-dozen new "ordinary people with extraordinary powers" into the following season of Heroes as a regular cast member. The six episodes will bring the total number of Heroes episodes up to 30 for its second seas"
Online voting? What teh fuck?
Hero Idol? Seacrest out?

Okay, this has been bothering me for some time now. Even before the last moments of tonight's finale.
Look away now if you do not want MASSIVE SPOILER.
SPOILER AHOY!
I'M NOT KIDDING
FINAL WARNING.
Why couldn't Peter just fly way up into the sky on his own before achieving critical mass? It's not as though we've never seen him doing his Kal-El impersonation before. Or is it that he can only access one power at a time? I can't remember him ever using two simultaneously.
And is he only going boom the one time? Are we to believe that if he survives meltdown and the ensuing fall back to Earth that this will never happen again?
