I saw it tonight. I thought it was pretty good.
It was a slower-paced film than most murder-thriller type of movies, but I think that the pace reflected Mr. Brooks murdering style.
The plot is pretty good, the ending isn't really unexpected, but I don't think that a movie has to have a big twist at the end to make it good. There are one or two "what are the odds?" moments, but it's a small world.
As far as acting goes, Dane Cook isn't spectacular in his first serious role, but he does a pretty good job in it.
Kevin Costner is amazing in his role as Mr. Brooks, a rich family man with an murdering addiction, as is William Hurt in his role as Mr. Brooks evil conscience.
