It's also the world's oldest lake (25 million years) and contains more water than all the Great Lakes combined. :ohnoes:
I knew this one as I only just read the article on bbc online. Its the only one on this thread I could probably of guessed right on! Damn you angelbaby ::waves fist::

Easy one, Angelbabe. I'll let someone else answer it!

FYI - if you think about that Lake Baikal one, the comment 'contains more water than all of the Great Lakes combined'... if any of you have had the pleasure of seeing the great lakes...this is completely mind blowing. First off, if you look at any of the pictures of Lake Baikal, you can EASILY see to the other side. Not so with any of the Great Lakes. Also, I think all of the Great Lakes, save maybe Ontario and definitely Eerie are longer than Baikal. So it all comes down to depth. And somehow that means that the depth of that Lake is something like way more than stacking all the great lakes on top of each other. Lake Superior is fairly deep to begin with.

Yeah, AB's clue gave that one away for me.

Still, I didn't know what it looked like. Cool beans.

Yeah, but you gave it, and one would assume you were going for obscure, since you don't want to give it away right away. Maybe you succeeded, except in the case of us oldsters.

Fuck. You're old, too.

We should rename this board to "AB & the Geezers".

32 is old enough to get the reference, though, especially where AB is the one that offered it.

The Government Communications Headquarters building in England. However, the GCHQ is more analogous to the NSA in the US. The British equivalent to the US building (CIA Headquarters at Langley) that you used as a photo clue would be the headquarters building of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). ;)
