Sept 19th on CBS

Ray Liotta as a criminal. I watched this last night and its the best new show on TV. You have to see it, it's just perfect.

note for Ababy The pilot has a new Corvette, a Bentley, and two Aston Martins (the new V8 makes an appearance).

I've been telling ppl to keep their eyes open for this show due to the interesting ads CBS has been running for it. The one with Amy Smart beating that woman in the alley got my attention.

Seems like a really interesting cast with Ray, Amy, Virginia Madsen, Jolie's ex Jonny Lee Miller, and Simon Baker.

From tv.com

"CBS's Ray Liotta crime series Smith has been pulled from the schedule. The series, from West Wing executive producer John Wells, has also fared poorly in the ratings."

Boo.

I hate TV people. They hardly even let a series get started before yanking the plug. This should've been a cable network series, then it would've got the time it needed to establish its plotline and characters, and also the side benefit of allowing people to talk like they do in actual life (i.e. cursing).

It didn't need to be a cable network series. It was already a far far better version of "Thief". Network suits need to have faith. No wonder they keep having eroding audiences, they never leave a show alone to build an audience. The cable networks do: Sopranos didn't start as successful as it is now. The Shield didn't start as successful as it is now.

I'm not going to pretend that "Smith" was the best show on tv. Invasion was much better, in my opinion. But it was worthy of an actual effort. I've never understood how giving up on these shows is 'better' than leaving them there. Really, day 2 of reruns of Grey's Anatomy is better than building an investment into a show.

They're running CSI reruns in its place.

CBS: CSI Broadcasting Network.

I wish I could start a network that just picked up great shows that other networks cancel. Let the blow their wads on development and then just scoop up their mistakes.

The weird thing is Smith is an easy sale over seas. Shows very very very rarely ever make a dime in their domestic run. They cover costs is all and the international distribution is the big income generator. I think Smith would play well in Europe.

Angelbaby said that my comment didn't make a lot of sense. I'll clarify quickly:

The networks SHOULD have faith in their show, and there SHOUDLN'T be a need to run to cable channels.

That being said, there is a basic reason why CSI is rerunning in its place. It has to do with the almighty dollar.

CSI is owned by CBS. I suspect Smith isn't. CSI will earn CBS 100% of the ad revenue versus whatever cut they would have to pay out to Smith.

Total bullshit. CBS deserves to lose that much more market share rating.

So now you can download 4 more episodes of Smith. Well they say download, they mean watch in swf format on their amazingly shitty youtube solution 'innertube'. Unless you're outside the USA. Which I am right now.

How much more can CBS suck?

Could someone with the source download FF plugin grab those off of that fucking tard site and up eps 4-7 on rapidshare or megaupload? I'm going to be in the states for like...well at least a month.

Balls.
