FOX got me.

Okay, I'll admit it. I've watched all the new FOX dramas, and it looks like they'll have my attention for three nights a week (or until the shows get unwatchably dumb or cancelled).
Monday I'll be tuned in to Vanished, Tuesday night is House and Standoff, and Wednesday brings Bones and Justice.
This means I'll be recording Heroes (sorry NBC).

That's too bad, it got a lot better after the first 10-15 minutes.

I posted a topic about vanished after the first episode.
I'm hooked and I usually don't watch a lot of dramas.
And that scene in the mall was totally not in atlanta. Fakers

I watched the first 57 minutes of Standoff before i deleted it from my Tivo.
It really sucked at first, but I love Ron Livingston (Swingers, Office Space), he's in my top 10 actors list, so I stuck with it.... very good show.
9 out of 10 for the pilot.

Agreed. He's a good actor. I made sure to grab it on my TiVO. I will watch it tonight.

Standoff was alright. It's worthy of a second or third episode. In fact, I liked it better than I did of the first few episodes of
Bones. Bones has grown on me quite nicely. Though I still would have rather watched Threshold play out on tv.
The problem with Pilot episodes is the characters are too stiff, as they haven't fleshed out yet. Also, the writers attempt to cram some background of each character down your gullet and it comes across as hackneyed almost everytime.
But I'll watch again and see if it grows on me. As of now I give it a 6/10 which is good from me.

Typical. Of the new dramas I started watching on FOX, only Standoff has been renewed for a full season.
I don't think I'll miss Justice all that much as it was pretty much the same thing, different week. But not showing us the last 4 eps of Vanished and what happens with the senator's wife is inexcusable.
I hate you FOX.

Justice lost me on it's time change. And I didn't miss it. Standoff has DRAMATICALLY improved into one of my favorite shows. I particularly like that they have had just about every type of conclusion/team 'solve' a crisis. It's not always the happy, quirky couple talking the bad guys down.
I still think they should play up their quirky relationship more.

I watched the Standoff pilot and just couldn't bear to keep tuning in. The lead male who kept on talking to the kid over the hospital phone was just such an idiot that he should have been fired by his superiors after his teammates reported his complete lack of professionalism, nevermind a brain.
I'm sure that it got better, from what you're saying, but that first impression was enough to turn me off.
Of course, I've been watching Jericho pretty closely, and I know alot of people that would say the same about some of the situations on that program. To each their own, I suppose.

I hear Jericho is really good. And not just from Angelbaby. Sadly, I think something i watch competes with it, and I really have too much TV homework anyway.

It's all available online if you get bored sometime. Right from episode one.

There's a little too much romantic sappiness sometimes, (OK, on IMDB people are screaming that it's way too much. I am not as worried about it.) but it's exciting and compelling.
...and now it's off the air 'til February. Damn American Idol idiocy.

House is probably the best show that FOX has to offer right now !
