I'm not sure I can add to the superlatives that many have already offered up to this truly groundbreaking film, except to say that if you have not yet seen this, go as soon as humanly possible.

A lot of this movie was done in Montreal. I know some guys who are in it and they loved it the whole shoot. Glad to see it drew 70 + mill this weekend.

It was my understanding that the entire movie was filmed in Montreal. In a warehouse. I read there was not a single outdoor shot.

Yeah the train yard place. Not "entirely" though as I know of at least one other place where they did some shooting but it was also indoors.

Actually, I'll take the Iranians back on this one.
I am at least as empathetically insulted for the Iranians as I am personally by portrayals of the American south, if not more so: while onscreen southerners may be racist, incestous, false and stupid redneck xenophobes that talk funny almost every freakish, terrible and evil thing that ever lived makes at least a cameo in the Persian army.
I know this while still having yet to see the movie.
And yet, I'll watch it anyway and most likely enjoy it. Funny, that.

How exactly do you portray a conquering army without them coming across as blood thirsty?
I don't see how this story, this historically factually based story (that's what inspired the comic book), could be shown otherwise.
Maybe They should actually see the movie? or at least google it before printing a headline like that.

fucking film. If we all took offence to how our individual race has/is portrayed in film/t.v, we'd have ended the world by now.
They're obviously a bunch of idiotic savages.
