usual suspects probably is my all time fave. It's certainly in the top three with fight club and memento.

Jesus how could I forget memento.

That film with kate hudson... the skeleton key is it? I thought it was an "ok" movie but the twist was rather good.

Friday the 13th had a pretty good twist. And Scream. Though they butt fucked that movie with it's sequels. Actually I guess both of those got butt fucked by sequels.

I concur with The Skeleton Key. That movie had the feel of an old Twilight Zone episode with its ending.

I know it's somewhat cliched, but I'm gonna throw another M. Night Shamalamadingdong in here...Unbreakable.

How about the end of Empire Strikes Back when it was first released? I'd imagine no one saw that coming.

Fight Club
Usual Suspects
Primal Fear
Memento
Soylent Green

I thought the Skeleton Key was dire and totally predictable. The Sixth Sense wasn't dire, but was also pretty predictable.

I think the main problem with Twisty movies is that they've become so common that it's actually rarer to find a movie that doesn't have a twist.

Back when Fight Club was brand new and there weren't as many Twist movies, it wasn't like you were even expecting one, and that's the main problem I think.

Almost every movie tries to put in some plot twist, and you almost always hear that "there's a twist at the end" before you see the movie, and even if you don't know anything about the Twist, the fact that you know one exists instantly sets your mind to "Detective mode" and it really pisses me off cos I just can't switch off to it.

I've seen so many trailers for movies recently where they've said...."The most unbelievable twist of 200X" and I just think...."who the fuck greenlights this shit?".

I had that movie figured out within 5 minutes of her going into the house for the first time. I swear.

It still was alright....but I hate that I knew the whole time where it was going.

That's okay, keep dissin' Skeleton Key, I still liked it. Bitches.

BTW, I had the twist at the end of the horrible-looking Captivity figured out during the trailer.
:D

Worst twist for me recently was The DaVinci Code. I never read the book and when I was watching it right at the beginning I was like *spoiler ahead* 'oh look, Tom Hanks just met Jesus's ancestor'. Then at the end it went DUN DUN DUN yoooou're the long lost daughter of Jebus!'

I'm sitting there going WHAT THE FUCK!?! I thought that was a given?

Is it more cryptic in the book because if not there are a whole lot of retards walking around right now.
