Zachary Quinto? I can see that.

Simon Pegg? Interesting.

Leonard Nimoy? Of course.

No William Shatner? ...damn

Seems harsh, but I'm trying to think how he could be in this without it being weird.

Vulcans live for ages so Nimoy as Spock might be passable, but Shatner, asides from doing a bit of narration or being the computer's voice, would just be weird.

Not that I care though. Personally I don't like prequel stuff, I wish they'd done another Next-Gen film, only this time with some good writers.

If you're gonna do a prequel dont use cgi - go back to models otherwise it just looks ... wrong. and are they gonna put loads of makeup on shatner and nimoy to make them look younger than they were on the original series. Its gonna just look so .... wrong!
Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning.

You just explained what I feel about this far better than I could even formulate the idea in my head.

Ugh.

Does every sci-fi show think it is obligated to do time traveling to tell any story?

I posted in this thread* but it never appeared. Almost like in a freaky star trek way! I wonder if this post will appear? Or will it be affected by the space time continuum? Why am I asking all of you, you could be Jem'Hadar in disguise!

GET BACK!

SET PHASERS TO KILL!!

Wow I almost got carried away there...
