Ok so I kinda destroyed my last car, and now Im naturally looking at new cars. Ive narrowed it down sorta to 3. I just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with either 3 of them.
The Lancer
The Rx8
The Jetta
Thoughts? Advice?

I think Justin has an RX-8. Or at least he had one until he wrapped it around a pole or something. Cant go wrong with the VW although genuine parts can be expensive. Lancers will always be cool in my book and Ive read somewhere theyve made the newer versions ultra comfortable to drive.
HOPE THAT HELPED!

my rx8 is still awesome and running. no major problems so far 3 years in.
the lancer has a ugly behind imho. the regular one with the huge bumper. the evo x version is slight better. smaller looking ass.
jetta is a jetta.
get a rx8!! the handling is awesome, 50/50 weight balance, grips the road like a bear on salmon
sports coupe > family sedan (lol angelbaby)

well I used to drive a sports coupe. And this is me bleeding from the head in that sports coupe
i also broke a leg, cut the tendon in the other one, and broke an arm. This is why im looking for something just a little bit safer, bigger, and heavier

well technically the rx8
is a four door car which doesn't really make it a coupe kekeke.
how about the new mazda 6?

How about a Honda Accord Coupe? My '03 has over 70k miles and never a minute's worth of trouble.

Next to the restraint systems and energy absorption of the body, mass of a vehicle is of the next highest importance in a collision. Here are the curb weights (in lbs) of the cars you mentioned:
RX-8: 3064
Lancer: 3462
Jetta: 3230
Accord Coupe: 3569

if i had enough to spend on a bmw...
My brother has an accord like a 99. My entire family wants me to drive a truck now because i had to be cut out of that mess and rushed to the ER and the dude in the truck walked out. The only trucks I kinda like are tundras and f150s

i was thinking of suggesting the audi a4 too because of how sweet it looks from the front then i remembered how ugly it's ass is. kinda like the lancer evo ex (the evo X version isn't as bad though)

Could have just been the way you collided. Trucks are no safer.
Volvos are safer. Get a pre 1999 Volvo and you can pretty much drive through a minimall and barely scratch the paint.
PS: A4 is more 3 series BMW price range. Ya they're expensive. The front end is pretty great looking and I've noticed other manufacturers have noticed too. Lot's of aggressive grills on most new German cars. A4 is slick. A guy in my parking garage has one. They're physically pretty big. Much larger than the BMW 135 and not nearly as fast.

I think those are pretty expensive though.
I'm not sure about the USD price but in Canada they're about 55 + everything else so really 62 or so.
I guess that's around A4 and 135 range though. And it's way safer.
