I think I'm most excited for Caprica, just because the pilot was so good and I loved Galactica.

But many of these others are definitely gonna get a look from me. I'm a sucker for sci-fi, or SyFy...is everyone else aware that's what the cable network is changing their name to in July?

I'm looking forward to flashforward and V - I remember reading about the ff book and thinking thats a really cool premise for a book I will have to add it to my buy list (spent almost $100 on books alone when I was on holiday over there last week!) - then I found out that its being made in to a series and though damn how cool is that! Watched the original V about 3 months ago so looking forward to see what they do with it for todays generation.

I had no interest in Caprica, the last 2 seasons left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Just watched the pilot of Virtuality and its pretty slow in most places. Sound track is awsome though and the premis and story line is great. Most of the female characters are hot too. It has potential imho.

Virtuality was really slow, and I almost gave up on it after the first hour, but I'm glad I didn't. Not a bad show, but they need to work on the pacing/editing if they expect this to last as a series.

Warehouse 13 was very good. It was funny, but not stupid, and the characters are very thought out and complex, but also very likable. I hope this one doesn't get canceled too soon

I didn't see it (since I won't be going to San Diego until Friday night), but a friend texted me after seeing the episode of V at Comic Con '09 earlier tonight. She said;

V had laughable CG, and nothing was innovative or exciting. Really disappointing. If BSG is a 10, then V is a 3.

I wouldn't say you "missed" this one, since I'd never even heard of it before... but I have to mention Defying Gravity on ABC.

I noticed it on the iTunes store front page, mostly because it was the 2-hour pilot episode FREE DOWNLOAD. Secondly it starred Ron Livingston Plus, did I mention it was free? So I downloaded it... and I happened to have lots of free time today while in fucking boring jury duty from 8:00-4:00, so I watched it on my phone.

First of all, boredom aside from jury duty, the show was REALLY good. I think the only thing I didn't enjoy was the music.

It felt more like a first act of a movie than a 2-hour pilot episode. I'm downloading ep 3 now (just aired yesterday), and I strongly suggest it to everyone who enjoys good TV. And as far as realistic shows in space... it made that Virtuality pilot look like a piece of crap.

Defying Gravity is an multinationally-produced space travel television drama series, first aired on August 2, 2009 on ABC. Set in the year 2052 (with flashbacks to earlier years in the story's continuity), the series will follow eight astronauts—four women and four men—from five countries on a six-year space mission through the Solar System, where everything they do is monitored. The series was pitched to networks as "Grey's Anatomy in space."

The program follows the adventures of eight astronauts on board the international spacecraft Antares. In a story within the story, the lives of the astronauts are being recorded and broadcast back to Earth as part of an ongoing documentary. In spite of a libido-suppressing device worn by each crew member, romantic entanglement will occur. Further complicating their lives is a mysterious storage pod with a secret impact on their mission, referred to as Beta.

Apparently the season (13 ep) has already finished shooting, so this is one of those shows you don't have to worry about being canceled either.

Saw the first episode of Defying Gravity (first hour of the 2-parter) and didn't get time to watch the other half but it looks really cool - it had a strange 'style' to it even at mission control it seemed really erm 'clean' - along the same sort of lines as the new star trek bridge - its a nice style and I'm sure others can put their finger on what I'm trying to say :S - its strange how little it was advertised though as it seems like a very good series that I can get in to.

Warehouse 13 news;

SyFy's Warehouse 13 has defied expectations and is pulling in some impressive ratings during this slow television season. According to the network, the program has averaged more than 4 million viewers during its debut season, and that performance has not gone unnoticed.

SyFy announced today that it will bring back Warehouse 13 for a second season, much to the delight of those who enjoy light-hearted semi-romantic science-fiction comedy-drama hybrids with a side of adventure and nifty gadgets.
