Natanz, Iran:

In 2002, whistleblower Alireza Jafarzadeh revealed the existence of a secret nuclear facility designed to enrich uranium extracted from the Yazd province using centrifuge technology. The Natanz site is Iran's central facility for enrichment with 164 centrifuges

Jafarzadeh was the public spokesperson for the National Council of Resistance of Iran until its office in Washington was closed by the US State Department in 2002 on the grounds that it was a front group for the MEK, by then listed as a terrorist organistion.[5].

On August 14, 2002, Jafarzadeh drew worldwide attention when he became a whistleblower by revealing that Iran was running a secret nuclear facility in Natanz, and a dideuterium oxide facility in Arak. The revelations led to inspections of the sites by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

As of 2006 Jafarzadeh is a Foreign Affairs Analyst for Fox News and is often a guest on Voice of America, or ABC Radio Network's John Batchelor Show. He has lectured at Georgetown University and the University of Michigan.

Natanz is a hardened Fuel Enrichment Plant (FEP) covering 100,000 square metres that is built 8 meters underground and protected by a concrete wall 2.5 meters thick, itself protected by another concrete wall. In 2004 the roof was hardened with reinforced concrete and covered with 22 metres of earth. The complex consists of two 25,000 square meter halls and a number of administrative buildings. This once secret site was one of the two exposed by Alireza Jafarzadeh in 2002. IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei visited the site on 21 February 2003 and reported that 160 centrifuges were complete and ready for operation, with 1000 more under construction at the site.

Heuristics, my friend. I already have studied the Florida keys, most of the bays on the east coast because of previous pics. I looked at Puget Sound and SF bay and went straight to Michigan from there. You didn't stray too far from home.

A clue... Well, you're right to be looking in the U.S. This place isn't in a necessarily "touristy" region. I don't want to give it away too fast, especially since it's the weekend and some folks might not be around all the time to play.
