over at Zug, John Hargrave has some hits and misses.
His credit card pranks are classic, as is his thwarting of an EBay scam. His latest credit card prank, here is even better than his classic credit card prank. It's actually really, really, sad and frustrating to see how useless the credit card companies are.
Is it any wonder day after day we hear about compromised identities?
Zug
I once had my identity stolen by a clerical error.
Just the same, I had to get my social security card reissued, as well as obtain a new copy of my birth certificate. All told it took a couple of months, seemingly out of proportion to the time it takes to make a typo.
Ooh, speaking of credit cards, I no longer have an outstanding balance!
I've spoke of this before.
They called me and tried to sell me something, and I was like I'm not cutting the damn thing up silly, go fuck off.
I try to make a habit out of not answering calls from numbers I can't identify.

A friend of mine in high school registered for one of those 'do at home diplomas'. You know the ones to be like a dental assistant or small fire arms repair?
He did it twice and forgot about each one. He never paid a dime and just let it go. Then one day months later we went to his house for lunch and two diplomas arrived in the mail. One for Homer Simpson and the other for Joe Montana.
