New FALL TV

Finally the summer is over.
No more heatwave. No more lack of quality video games titles. And maybe most important... No more crappy summer TV shows.

I'm looking forward to a lot of new shows this season, as well as a few returning ones (Heroes, Prison Break). I was fortunate to get some advance copies of the following shows:

Bionic Woman.
Pretty crappy imo. I thought the acting was dry, the "special effects" were ugly, and the first episodes story was pretty predictable based on the TV commercial alone. I will still tune in for the first few episodes before I make a final decision, but based on episode 1 alone, I give it a C-

Life.
Amazing! I thought this show looked good, but I was really blown away by how entertaining it was. Great acting, excelent story. It was funny, sexy and action packed. I don't know how they will stretch the story out in the long run, but I still think Life will be in my top 5 list this season. B+

Dexter.
The first 2 episodes of season 2 are just as good as season 1. Dexter was my second favorite show last season (behind heroes), and I expect it to stay that way this season. Flawless victory. A+

Chuck.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Looks pretty good. Having Summer with hardly any clothes on for most of the pilot was a big bonus. Although, somehow I'm not too sure how they are gonna make a full season out of the premise - but i do hope it takes off and does really well.

Reaper
Very funny. Nice to see Tyler Labine back in a series - he did really well in invasion and looks like he fits in pretty well in this series too. Some very funny scenes - should do pretty well.

Cavemen
When I first heard about this I youtubed the adverts as we dont get them here and thought that it would be a really cool storyline/premis to hang a series on but was really dissapointed when i saw the pilot - just replace racism with species-ism and rerun the age old jokes and comedy.

The Big Bang Theory
Very very funny. Looks to be a great comedy and a very good storyline - I've seen a lot of me and my friends in the two main charaters (not sure if thats a good thing or not!). Kaley Cuoco is pretty damn hot - never really noticed her until i watched the pilot!!

Flash Gordon
What a pile of pants. Very wet acting and so cheesy it left a bad taste in my mouth. Might give it a 3-episode watch incase it picks up (I tend to give bad series' 3 -episodes before I trash it altogether)

Havent seen journeyman, chuck or life yet. Journeyman is on my list but havent got round to watching it. Bionic Woman has potential - I think once the actors/actresses start to gell with each other and their roles it might pick up and start getting more watchable.

I saw the first four eps of Californication...good stuff. I give David Duchovny and the parade of boobs an A.

Dex you seen Journeyman yet?? Just saw it last night - totally pukka! well worth a watch.
oh and some pretty nice totty to boot too!

I also watched k-ville and life and they are pretty great too. I liked seeing Damian Lewis as the main charater - I saw him first in Dreamcatcher and by the acting-syle of his charater in life it looks like he still has the alien inside him!! very surreal

Parade of boobs is right. Holy cow. Showtime free preview this week, and they have all the episodes of Californication on demand. I'm not so sure about the plot, but I can say that David Duchovny may very well be the luckiest guy in Hollywood.
