This city is afraid of me, I have seen its true face

The people making this movie know this, but

I hate those costumes for the most part, but I can see them being intentional.
I thought Nite Owl looked stupid in the comic book, and now he looks stupid in the movie!
Perfect?
My thought is that this film is most in danger of these next two things,
Either the movie is going to be Bruckheimer
or
It's going to be made of straight irony
both of which would make me sick to my stomach
Honestly I am not optimistic.
