Remember when disaster movies used to be all the rage back in 96/97/98? Twister, Volcano, Dante’s Peak, Armageddon, Deep Impact, Independence Day and of course, the grand daddy of them all, the best movie ever made, winner of 11 Academy Awards, the no. 1 top grossing movie of all time with $1,835,400,000 in box office receipts worldwide, TITANIC (1997; dir. James Cameron). Holla!

Well the people who started it all (with ID4) are at it again.

The Day After Tomorrow.

Where will you be?

(Trailer)

It’s got that Jake Gyegleldhalhlalll guy in it so i’m sure all the girlies are probably gonna see it just for him. Just like i did, i mean, they did with Leo DiCaprio and Titanic (best movie ever) back in 97.

Speaking of Jake, what’s all the fuss with Donnie Darko anyway? People seem to think it’s like the best movie ever (which it’s not. that would be Titanic). I only saw it once. Didn’t think too much of it. Maybe i should rewatch it. I must be missing out or something. I’ll get it on DVD someday.

  3. you might be thinking of The Core (worst movie ever). it’s somewhat similar but i don’t think this one has people going down to the center of the earth to plant a bomb in it (stupidest plot ever).

  6. Yes, the core was terrible. Mostly because it had that DJ Squalls dude in it from Road Trip. His freakishly skinny arms make my eyes vomit.

  18. Fuck all of you fagoty ass freaks and your "OMFG!! FIRST POST!!!!!"

Yippy fucking skippy. Get a life. You are not special, in fact you do nothing but waste bandwidth. And the only thing worse than wasting bandwidth with a gay fucking comment like "First post!" is to continue the NON-EXISTENT joke on to the third post.

Fuck. You all need to die. The thought of having to share my oxygen with degenerate pansies like you makes me want to vomit and stab at my eyes with dirty shards of glass.

    #18 | Comment by embus — March 5, 2004 @ 5:41 pm

  19. How can The Core be the worst movie ever made when (And I’m prob going to spell this wrong) PootyTang exists?

Batman & Robin is currently holding second worst movie ever created (solely for the scene in which Batman whips out his f*cking Bat-Credit Card). Maybe The Core is a distant third.

  23. Wow. That Embus dude is pissed. Good thing we are all going to die when the polar ice caps melt (except for Dennis Quaid and Jake Gyllenhaal) so that we will no longer share air with him. Who invited him to read and take our bandwith from us anways? Anyhoo, I love movies made by hollywood to tell us to take care of the earth more and that gobal warming is here. Oh well.

    #23 | Comment by Lunchbox — March 5, 2004 @ 5:56 pm

  24. Titanic was brilliant. To make a movie interesting to the masses to which EVERYONE already knows the ending to is one heck of a feat. Give the man some credit. Then again, anything that James Cameron, Ridley Scott, or David Fincher touch usually is exceptional.

Oh. And yes, I think Spielberg is highly overated. Somewhat akin to a glorified TV director, solid directing without any soul.

titanic = shitty beyond human comprehension

  26. Lunchbox…

I invited my-goddamned-self you ball sucking ass gobler. As far as I am concerned, you can be the first bitch to drown when the so-called "polar ice caps" melt. Me and Quaid are going to take turns pissing on your dead bloated corpse. Fuck… what an idiot. It truly revolts and disgusts me to the point of seething anger.

Donnie Darko was a seriously fucked up movie. Brilliant, but totally fucked up.

  28. Titanic doesnt suck half as much as most movies made nowadays. I mean, at least Titanic had boobs and that sweet 1911. Plus the ship sinking is cool with all those rich fucks getting killed. Anyway, Titanic was directed by the Alien guy so at least that is kind of good. It will never be as bas a the core, which me and my buddies showed to my Geology/Physics teacher…we laughted the whole time.

  30. ^Nyahahahahhaa!

For the record: Titanic was the worst movie I ever almost saw. I walked away numerous times to get food and go piss, and I never missed a fucking thing…the movie is boring as all Hell. It’s not the worst movie ever made, but once you add in the time factor it’s pretty close to the top(Probably surounded by Richard Gere movies. All his movies fucking suck…just…like…him.). I’d have to say the worst movie I’ll never see is Dirty Dancing, but what kind of fag would actually like that movie?

    #30 | Comment by Bubba — March 5, 2004 @ 6:27 pm

  31. Get your facts straight, Battlefield Earth was the worst movie ever.

  32. bubba. now that we know what’s bad. What would be a good movie.

I still maintain that Titanic rocked. Not my personal favorite, but I appreciate the toil it took. Cameron is talented fucker.

Worst movie – not by a long shot. and you know it.

    #32 | Comment by xrzdwezl — March 5, 2004 @ 6:49 pm

  33. The worst movie I ever saw was Grand Theft Anal, Midgets Take Manhattan. I mean who wants to see a bunch of gay midgets ass rape each other anyways!?!?! The directing was seriously sub-par in that one. Maybe if James Cameron or Ridley Scott had directed it. Still some serious holes in the plot though. HOLES IN THE PLOT!!! Get it!!! Assholes!!! Midget assholes!!! God I’m good.

  34. Embus, your name should be "Captain Hypocrite". You just ranted and raved about how people "waste bandwidth" as you call it, with stupid "first post" bullshit, but you yourself just wrote a pointless post. The whole "first post" thing is funny to me. It reminds me of the old SLASH/DOT forums where poople would seriously be happy they had the first post. They would sit at their computers hitting REFRESH for hours on end. I think the whole first post thing now is making fun of those people who have nothing better to do. But I guess humor is lost on a person as ignorant as yourself.

Or, the Matrix, because it has Joe Pantoleono — see my home page. (About Joe, not really the matrix)

    #41 | Comment by WP_LeGeNd — March 6, 2004 @ 6:12 am

  42. The best movie ever? Ugh. I remember being a freshman in high school when Titantic was "all the rage." For some reason, the movie was considered so good that you couldn’t walk down the hall without hearing some idiot "abercrombie" junkie extolling the virtues of this "masterpiece of cinema." Titanic was boring ass crap. The best scene in the film was when the guy fell off the back of the boat and hit the propellor on the way down. That was sweet.

That being said, the soundtrack was probably five billion times worse than the movie. It makes me want to stab my own eardrums out with a pencil.

As for this new film: we’ll see. It could be a good flick.
