AVRIL LAVIGNE – GIRLFRIEND

I think. I love. This video.

Note to self: Buy Avril’s third album when it comes out (April 17th!!!)

PS: Bonus points for this song being on the Burnout Dominator (?!?!!) soundtrack.

This is probably because she invented punk.

  11. Yeah, the PS3 & Xbox 360 are getting a different game. I’ll have to check the song out simply because it’s on the Burnout soundtrack.

  12. Why is it that after I hear that song, all I hear in my head is “Hey Mickey you’re so fine, you’re so fine you blow my mind…”?

    #12 | Comment by CR — February 24, 2007 @ 12:31 am

  13. so is she the replacement for Gwen Stefani now that she’s gone all dance elctro beat pop rap stuff?

  14. I don’t know what is more annoying. This song or listening to the spice girls. In fact I pictured the spice girls in the video because I couldn’t believe it was Avril Lavigne. I was so expecting to hear a high pitched english accent within the first 30 seconds after the singing began. But the sad truth is that this is a song by Avril Lavigne. It should have never been recorded. Had to stop playing it after the first minute it was so god awful. If you like this song because it’s by Avril Lavigne, your musical tastes can never be trusted again because of your blatant biasness. Just goes to show that Justin will accept anything if Avril Lavigne has touched it.

  15. She should retitle this album “Wife”, because she’s shacked up with one… or is one… either way.

    #15 | Comment by YourMom — February 24, 2007 @ 2:37 am

  16. #13 – agreed. Except Gwen Stefani made good music at one point. Avril is a second rate Stefani, if that. Gwen Stefani and No Doubt are working on an album, so maybe she can redeem herself. Avril was never there, though.

  19. I don’t see how you can think Avril is hot, her dressing style is so ugly, she makes me wanne puke. Even the redhead, dorky girl in this video is way hotter then Avril the ugly punk bitch

    #19 | Comment by Licking — February 24, 2007 @ 5:32 am

  20. I get it, #19.

For everyone else, Avril played the black, blonde and red haired girls in the video, what 19 is saying is that one of those “hats” (as it were) suited her better. He is referring to her earlier work. She was more genuine, and more “hot”, there.

He, as well as I, thinks Avril should stick to punk, which she invented, because pop only makes you crazy, as evidenced by the crazy people that make or used to make pop music.

    Don’t shave your head, Avril.

  21. EA is basically using guaranteed sales on PS2 for funding the Burnout 5 engine, which comes out at the same time but has a smaller base.

I just wonder why no x-box version. I wants my HD love like Burnout Revenge. Of course I’d be fine playing Burnout 2 on gamecube still, but that’s not the point!

  29. what’s truly funny is that this song is the most punk she’s ever been.

everyone thinks of her as this poser-punk wannabe, and this is a clear-cut pop song. you guys are morons for not seeing the punk in the fact that she’s giving you exactly what you expect from her. she’s fucking kicking you in the balls. i hope she’s laughing at you morons.

plus, she’s hot as hell. that bastard from sum41 is lucky as hell.

    #29 | Comment by heapy — February 25, 2007 @ 4:14 am

  30. Hey I used to go to that Golf n Stuff as a kid (if its the one in Southern Cali) P.S. I met Avril before shes hot, oh yeah I do her in da butt.

  33. I admit to 2 things.

    1) I did buy her first album.. I’m still not sure why.
    2) IMO, Avril > Christina, ’cause Avril deserves it more for not being so slutty.

    #33 | Comment by Garth2k — February 25, 2007 @ 9:03 pm

  34. You have to be desirable to be a slut. So Avril will never have to worry about that.

  37. 36 – do you understand what “punk” means?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punk_rock

The reason this is punk (and you’re a moron) is the sarcasm. Do you really think she takes herself seriously?

    Gimme a break.

    #37 | Comment by heapy — February 26, 2007 @ 1:10 pm

  38. I cant belive Avril managed to reverse her age 15 years back in time. I swear she is 12 years old in that video.

    #38 | Comment by pete — February 26, 2007 @ 5:37 pm

  39. #37- The fact that you refer to Wikipedia, the Special Olympics of reference guides, shows how tenuous your argument is.

    Yeah, she sold out. Again.

  40. Avril has her price, just like Jewel had her price.
