While watching that…. i was speechless… I couldn’t tell if it was for real or made as a spoof… that was… unsettling… I dunno what song it was referencing to make fun of, but its comforting reading comments knowing it was supposed to be funny… because I actually had some respect for some of her songs..

In Canada Alanis was known for her early career
She was on crappy Canadian tv show ,where the main punch line was dumping green slime on peoples head when they said a certain word.
She then became a top selling Canadian pop-tart putting out horrible teeny bopper dance music ,you know the kind with 80’s key board player in them ……
She was infamous for being a promiscuous wild child ……you know back when it was shocking and Drew Barrymore was only one getting headlines.(and she got a free pass considering her blood line)
Basically she was churning out worse pop music then Paris Hilton ,Duff-sters and Lohan…..tramping it up younger and not with rock stars and shipping tycoons but on low Canuck budget with a pre-famous Matt LeBlanc and that creepy guy did moose impersonations on tv show “Full House”
She became famous in USA as angry feminist rocker….then went through her “funny” (i.e. not funny) Indian spiritualism meets “Ellen Show” yuk yuk zzzz comedy…got her million dollar condo in Ottawa , good for her now go away and take the Madonna with British accent with you.
Basically the scarlet letter she is plastering the girls of current generation is because at least in her day it wasn’t fashionable and didn’t make her popular darn-nabbit !
I thought it was pretty lame! The video looked cheap and lame! It’s like one joke that is clever for about 10 seconds, then it’s just tired and repetitive after that, and not very well done.

In thinking about this…..it is very reminiscent of the way William Shatner (You know, Captain Kirk, TJ Hooker, etc) took good songs and butchered them into some rediculous type of music only he and maybe 5 other people in the world liked.
However, My Humps isn’t even a good song!
First of all, Fergie is overated, undertalented and could pose as a double for Leather face.
If it wasn’t for her abs, she be a nobody.
My Humps was a funny song when I first heard it and I sat through the video with my eyes glued to her abs. But after the 3rd time on the radio, I was ready to stab my ear drums!
As for Alanis…she, much like Fergie, is overated, undertalented and ugly as sin! While the Alanis History Lesson given by #11, was interesting, she’ll always be:
An ugly mentally deranged misfit, who couldn’t handle being dumped for another woman, and therefore went into a rage and lashed out in her songs. (Only one of which was a hit btw!)
However, I suppose the guy that fkd her up to begin with should be happy about her music career! Had she not been a singer, she might have just tracked him down and killed him!

it’s good to know that there are still groups out there like the Black Eyed Peas that don’t take themselves too seriously. also, this is the most unappealing alanis has looked since the “Thank You” video.
