  4. That last speaker’s comment about Moore being a left wing promotor was so out of line that I’d actually would like to kick his ass my self.

You can just never trust CNN. Naturally they can’t run with any stories since they in the end are paid by companies who probably would not accept “left wing promotion”, which being pro free health care that works seems to be.
Actually you should probably never trust anyone, not even Moore, even if he’s been quite accurate so far.

    And yeah, FIRST!

  10. #7 – CNN is republican propaganda?? wow, that’s the first time i’ve heard that claim.

the bigger question is, why is this tubby fucktard continuing to take up fubar front page space? Justin just loves fatties i guess.

    #10 | Comment by AngelBaby — July 11, 2007 @ 1:09 am

  11. what is dumb is that CNN.com actually ran a front page story last month which said most medical professionals reluctantly agreed that Moore got the facts right.

But CNN bending the news to fit their story is about as shocking as Paris Hilton being photographed.

  18. I’m left-wing, a Michael Moore fan but I have to say he comes of like an asshole in this interview. He came across like a left leaning Bill O’reilly. Yelling and bringing up unrelated issues like the war in Iraq and President Bush made it seem like he was trying to hide something.

His reaction to Wolf Blitzer was really similar to the reaction Dick Cheney had when h was interviewed earlierthis year by CNN. For someone who is a provocateur, Moore sure showed he has no problems asking tough questions but doesnt like to have his facts questioned in return.

i really don’t see what pointing out Moore’s well-documented penchant for deception in favor of his cause du jour has to do with my intelligence.

and in case your parents never told you…two wrongs don’t make a right.

    #20 | Comment by AngelBaby — July 11, 2007 @ 2:10 am

  21. I agree with Kreskin. He has a valid point to make, but often ruins it by being a blowhard (ie, the oscars). I mean if he was calm and just addressed the questions rather than spending 5 mins of the interview saying why it was wrong to question him and going after CNN and the war, he may have been more convincing. I recommend people check out the second part of the interview (he has link on his site or youtube). He seems to have calmed down by that point and does a lot better job getting his point across.

Oh, and to anyone more bothered by the fact that he is fat and ugly than interested in hearing the valid points he brings up, maybe just close your eyes next time he is on TV and think about Jessica Biel or Megan Fox or someone. Mmmmm…. Megan Fox

Lesser of 2 evils is bullshit. we should have all the choices in the world for president and for health care.

Why not have a healthcare credit/voucher (Like they have for your choice of public or private schools). one you can use for a years worth of Universal health care or a years worth of HMO’s. I bet the HMO’s will bleed your account and make you dig out of the pocket by Midyear.

I bet if you get really sick you’ll jump ship on the HMO’s and run to universal Health care.

  33. Oh come on AngelBaby – How far do you have to be wedged up the arse of the right wing propaganda machine to dislike someone who argued first to keep us out of a pointless, destructive war that has pushed the entire world closer to its end, and who is now arguing that people should have cheaper, better access to health care?

You may not like the man but arguing against a war that has sinced been categorically proven to be a terrible mistake, and trhen arguing for better health care should get you more respect.

it’s not the argument he’s making i have a problem with, it’s how he goes about making it. it only serves to make your argument look weak if you can’t defend it using nothing but raw, unbiased facts. moore has consistently proved that he can’t do this, he can’t avoid letting his massive ego get in the way, and can’t resist tweaking the truth to hammer his agenda home. that might get your respect, but it sure as hell isn’t earning mine.

and i suppose you’re planning to vote for Obama in 2008? seeing how he’s the only candidate that wasn’t in favor of this war that you believe is going to bring about Armageddon in the near future. you definitely can’t be a Hillary supporter, right?

what else should Moore do? how about scheduling a visit to Jenny Craig sometime?

  39. She hasn’t kicked my ass yet.

I live in the wonderful magical land of Australia. I live in a small sleepy coastal town whose main industries are tourism and retirees. I have been to the doctors five times this year. I have gotten in on the day I wanted every time, and only one visit cost me anything, and that was around 50 dollars, of which I got 30 or so back. Also, Australian money is worth like 75% so yeah, its not too bad here.

Also, Australian medical research is some of the best in the world, with leading researchers in many areas of medical science. Maybe I misunderstood, but it sounded like Rudy was saying the socialized medicine leads to crappy medicine. The biggest crisis in Australian medicine is political, with poor working conditions and pay for medical professionals.

and our governments wants to make our health care system more like the US? WTF is that about?

If you’re so keen about facts, please provide one example in which Moore has distorted his facts?

“what else should Moore do? how about scheduling a visit to Jenny Craig sometime?”

Awesome. You have yet to actually provide any information to backup YOUR argument that HE is a crock of crap, and then you continue like every other kneejerk right winger to make an ad hominem attack about his weight. HI FIVE SISTER! WOO!

How about getting your own facts before jumping on the ‘Shit on Moore’ bandwagon.

    #43 | Comment by OttoD — July 11, 2007 @ 6:36 am

  44. #40 Uh… yeah, ok. So you are saying that it is the very commercialisation of the american medical system that makes breakthrough’s possible? Thats naive, indoctrinated crap. The US gets good researchers because it buys them sure, and yes they do good research, but then the company they work for blackmails the world for the fruits of that research. I can’t imagine Pasteur extorting the secrets of vaccination or the team at oxford selling penicillin only to the highest bidders, keeping the production runs small to keep the prices up.

“R&D that are impossible in practically every other country in the world.”
Like stem cell research and cloning… oh wait, nope, can’t do that in the U.S.

Call me socialist, but health care should be if not free then at least cheap and available on credit.

i think it’s a crying shame that the country with the best doctors, best medical technology, and best pharma r&d finds itself in the position it is in with regard to healthcare. i don’t think it’s as bad as some would have us believe, but it could certainly be better.

however, i put primary blame on the insurance industry and rise in malpractice litigation for the downward spiral. we need our government to step in and put the reins on these factors, but the system is so screwed up right now, i don’t have much faith that’s happening anytime soon. 🙁

  49. Moore’s a repugnant attention gigolo, but what he said about CNN and other news organizations is true. They are bought and paid for and run commercials disguised as news, they didn’t do their jobs and that’s one of the reasons we’re in the mess in Iraq.

  50. Moore is a fat fucking retard and a whiney bitch. He cares about no one and nothing but the money going in his pocket. If he cares so much, he would use ALL of his net profit from this movie to get the 9/11 workers REAL healthcare.

First, why do rich people from around the world come to the USA for healthcare?

Second, if you think the gov would do a good job running your healthcare, go to the DMV or wait for that social security check that you’ll get when you retire…..I think you know that won’t be happening.

Third, WHEN Fatass needs a quadruple heart by-pass I’m sure he’ll go to cuba and not the USA to get that done. Personally, I hope he does go to cuba as we would not have further propaganda from Mr Fat Fat Fatty.

  55. 85% of all Americans have some type of health insurance. This allows us to go to the doctors we choose to go to without having to deal with the dregs of society that flood the free clinics. FUCK the other 15%. They don’t have insurance because they don’t want to get jobs. They want everything handed to them. The fucking welfare-minded people in this country are ruining it for those of us who support ourselves. With my job, I had to seek out an insurance carrier and pay for medical and dental coverage out of my own pocket… because that’s what you do. If you need insurance, you get it so you can go to a doctor without having to sit next to Shanaqua, Consuelo, or Cleetus in the waiting room. (note the black, hispanic, and white trash names. I’m an equal opportunity hater) This fucking medical thing… it’s the first step to communism. First it’s health care… then it’s housing… THEN WE STAND IN LINE TO GET A FUCKING LOAF OF BREAD!!! Fuck the other 15%… let ’em get a job or fucking rot.

  57. It also doesn’t help that the government has, in the past few years, made it legal for prescription drug companies to advertise on TV. It used to be that they were only allowed to make their presence known to doctors, who could then recommend certain drugs to their patients. Makes sense right? Well now there’s all this push to “ask your doctor” with these advertisements which cost billions, which in turn drives up the cost of these drugs. The government needs to put back in place the law that they can’t advertise on TV. It’s not helping anyone except ad companies who are raking it in!

  68. What’s really sad is that most of you have probably never had to go to the doctor for anything serious. I have gone for 4 days of “monitoring” and a broken finger. the bill was more than many people make in a year. Profit definitely rules. I make a decent living and have good insurance, but even I have to question why I paid 10K a day for something that should have cost a few thousand at most.. I live in a major metro area – so access to healthcare is easy( 4 hospitals within 20 miles). The system is broken no matter what you believe. Even if you CAN afford to pay you should really ask “why you have to pay so much?”

The US has many ailments that require monthly maintenance drugs like Diabetes, alergies, and high blood pressure. God forbid you have several ailments and no insurance. At the very least, cost should be subsidized and based on ability to pay.

    No insults to either side.

  74. Moore Pwn’s CNN? Are you kidding? Dr. Gupta, Wolfe, and Larry King all handed him his fat ass. He got caught and threw a fit about it. When someone gets upset it means they’ve lost.

  76. I guess it’s settled. Angel Baby agrees with the fat pasty ass Moore.

Read #48.. putting the blame on insurance companies. Tisk! Tisk! That’s what Moore did, which is why the insurance companies have tried to block this movie.

If people are willing to pay, how can we complain? The only way to change the current system is for people to rise up and stand up to these companies, which was Moore’s intention anyway.

I’m pro-business. Let insurance companies charge up the ass! If Americans are willing to pay.. let them. If insurance companies can’t make a profit, then what is the incentive for them to provide this service to consumers?

I may be biased because I work for Blue Cross and am a staunch Republican, but to me, Moore is just wasting his time. The American Dream is money and I’m out to get mine!

  77. Nice to see some proper debate on TV for once,
rather than the FOX news style shout-over-the-guest technique.

  78. I don’t see why CNN owe him an apoligy, Moore is an idiot, if he likes socialism so much then why doesn’t he just move to cuba or North Korea so he can live equally like everyone else in those country, in poverty and starving to dead without healthcare.

  81. #28 i see. so why doesnt the “gov’nt” just give us, The People, the facts?

because, for too long, “we” the people have been too self consumed to be bothered by what our gvmt has been doing, only recently has it become “trendy” to at least “appear” involved or concerned, but those of us who have been involved, can spot the armchair quarterbacks to lazy to find out stuff for themselves that would even listen to MM’s skewed, Bush hating propaganda and convey this as any sort of facts. He’s no differnt than Fox, CNN or any other media outlet that puts their spin on, so-called “news”.

It’s just sad to see so many fish falling for the bait. One man’s fact is another’s propaganda. Whatever happened to simple discussions?

  82. And oh yeah, with the amount of hate being spewed around about our illustrious gvt, why would so many people want to hand over yet ANOTHER project for our great leaders to exploit, screw up and abuse by having a NHCP?

You dont seem to think they are doing a great job currently, so why add more drabble to get snagged in red tape?
