Okay here’s something you won’t find anywhere else. Some promo shots for an unreleased/cancelled indie flick called Riven. From looking at the movie poster, it looked to be something like Kill Bill in high school or something.
UPDATE: Sorry, pics removed by request! /UPDATE
The chick starring in it, an unknown Kaila Gee (she only has one credit on IMDB), was 15 when they shot the flick. But she plays a 13 year old who apparently kicks a lot of ass. Anyhow, just sharing the promo shots with you guys.
By the way, that pic of her in the red bikini, it’s apparently supposed to be from a scene like the one in Fast Times at Ridgemont High(!).
pedo’s for the win.

A movie about a high school student killing someone. Just one look at the promo shots of her with a gun tells the tale why this one will never see the light of day what with all the school shootings that have happened in the last few years.
If this movie got released there’d be a copycat killing within a week of its release date.
A big round of applause for our man Justin, though…who can apparently find and bring to us what even Google cannot locate.

Fuck that copy-cat bullshit!!
I’m so sick and tired of all the damn censorship because people blame movies, TV, and video games for violence. That’s such a load of horse-shit!
The problem is all of the stupid left-wing bullshit. No one want’s to raise their kids right anymore, and society always wants to blame the victim because we need to realize that the criminal probably had a bad childhood, so…IT’S NOT HIS FAULT…etc. Blaming someone’s actions on the fact that they saw something like it in a movie is stupid. Now, granted, a damn three year old will probably imitate something they see on TV, but that’s because they’re THREE!! That’s why parents need to monitor shit their kids watch on TV, teach them the difference between reality and fiction, and teach them how to act appropriately. Not to mention the fact that it seems like more and more of this piss-ant kids and teenagers really need to get their ass beat with a belt more frequently to keep them in line.
…fucking touchy feely liberals…
And the gun control crowd can just fuck off, two. Quit blaming inanimate objects for the actions of a relatively small number of shitheads out there. I can do way more damage and destruction with an automobile and a fifth of Bacardi 151 than I can with a gun and a few bullets, but no one blames the car, they blame the drunk driver. No one screams that we need “car control” and that we need to rid society of “cars” or whatnot. This gun control crap and people’s mass paranoia of “evil guns” has got to stop. I can’t fathom how the gun control crowd still can’t grasp the simple and straightforward logic that laws can only disarm people who care enough to obey the law.
Don’t try to take my guns away, because I’ll probably need them to defend myself someday from some emo-fag kid who’s all distraught about his “painful life” because his parents never loved him and certainly didn’t beat his ass with a belt to correct him when he was growing up. He’ll probably try to kill me just to steal the $5 in my wallet. Afterwards, it’ll be said that it was the fault of all the “bad” movies on television that corrupted him. And if I tried to shoot back, I’d be the “bad guy” for carrying a gun that I clearly “didn’t need” and have no right to carry anyway because “the 2nd ammendment doesn’t apply anymore in modern society.”
…guess I got carried away there a little. Sorry. This wasn’t directed specifically at you, #28, and I know you didn’t mention anything about gun control. I just got carried away in my ranting. I don’t know where you stand on those issues, but please, for the love of all that is holy, don’t blame a movie being released for causing “copycat killings.”

#29 – you obviously just needed a reason to rant against godless liberals. I think there’s a rerun of Bill O’Reilly on cable right now or some shit. That should make things hunky dory again, hopefully.
And since I probably gave you another reason to freak out, I’ll say this about gun control: I believe private citizens should have the right to bear arms to protect themselves from the government and other intruders. That was the purpose of the amendment.
And about this movie: if it never sees the light of day, so be it. It would be the discretion of the people that funded it to show it or not. If the producers take a second look at the project and decide it’s a bad idea for whatever reason, then it’s their prerogative to keep it in the can.
Personally, I think that the film should be shown as I believe that art in any form should be uncensored. But it’s not my movie. So like everyone else, I’ll defer to the producers’ decision.

@ 37,
Hellfyre, thanks for not outright flaming me, like I expected to happen. I know I got carried away in my rant, and like I said, most of it wasn’t in response to your post. I just got on a roll and moved on to other related topics.
Basically, what I was really getting at, is that I don’t personally care if this movie ever comes out or not. It just doesn’t interest me. And if it did come out, someone very well COULD go copy-cat and kill someone. Hopefully not. But my point is that in such a tragic case, I don’t think the movie, or it’s producers, or distributors, or who ever else, would be responsible. If somebody does something incredibly stupid just because they saw it in a movie, it’s their own fault, and they should be held 100% responsible for their own actions. Likewise, I don’t think that any movie should be censored, or denied release, or anything else based solely on it’s subject matter, or for portrayal of violent or offensive material. I’m not saying that this was, or was not, the reason this movie hasn’t come out. I don’t know, and I don’t care why this hasn’t been released. I’m just saying that a movie shouldn’t be denied solely for that reason, because that’s a bullshit excuse for not making people take responsibility for their actions. And, by the way, I never assumed that was your viewpoint. That’s all I was saying. …until I got carried away, which I am sorry for.
@32,
Bill O’Reilly? Come on…
But no, you didn’t give me something to “freak out” about. I was actually expecting much worse, seing as how I DID get carried away in my previous post. I suppose I deserve to get some crap for that.
But don’t label me as some crazy conservative extremist. I’m not. I think there are those on the right who are just as bad as the idiots at the extreme left. I will say that I DO lean more to the right in my views, but I’m really in the middle of the road somewhere. It just happens to be that I am VERY passionate when it comes to gun control, as you may have noticed by my rant.
One of the things that ties into that is this general idea that people aren’t responsible for what they do, so we have to take the guns away so they can’t hurt anyone. That whole idea is predicated on the belief that people can view a violent movie, and then be “brainwashed” or something by it, and go out and copy it, and then it’s the movie’s fault (and the production and distribution companies and anyone else they can try to sue) and it needs to be banned.
The logic that I follow is that if people are individually held accountable for their actions, and if parents would discipline their children to teach them the difference between right and wrong, and truth and fiction, then we wouldn’t have that problem. If people quit blaming the movie, or the video game, or the “gangsta” rap song for it, then we wouldn’t have uneccesary censorship shoved down our throats. If we held people accountable for their actions, and realized that it’s the criminal’s fault, not the gun’s fault that someone was shot and killed, then we wouldn’t be forced to accept draconian gun control policies like those that have failed miserably in other parts of the world, and even here in the U.S. (think Washington D.C.).
If people were held accountable for their actions, we could enjoy whatever movie we wanted, regardless of how sick and twisted it is, and we could own and carry a sidearm with us for protection, without unconstitutional and ridiculous hassles. We would all get our rights back, and the criminals would be the ones punished, not the whole of society.
If that viewpoint makes me some crazy whacked-out right-wing lunatic, then…I guess I just might be. But I really don’t think anyone could possibly consider my viewpoints to be that far-fetched.
As far as the “liberal hippie world > conservative retard world” stuff that some of you have posted, are you really serious? Do you really believe all of the liberal biased bullshit tossed around by the media? I don’t pay attention to either side’s propaganda. I don’t watch O’Reilly or any of the others on Fox News. And I damn sure don’t listen to all the liberal crap that seeps into every other part of the media. And to Ryu, specifically, I AM thinking for myself. That’s what I do. I ignore what the TV tells us to think, and I ask myself, does this viewpoint make sense? Yes or no. I don’t give a damn what any of the political mouth-pieces tell me I’m supposed to believe. I believe what’s logical and makes sense, and I despise anything that doesn’t, especially when it limits my freedoms.
I’m neither a “liberal hippie” or a “conservative retard.” I’m a man of common sense. The only reason I bashed the liberals in my previous post is that the left-wingers are the ones who want to take away our bill of rights and deny us the freedom of speech and the right to keep and bear arms to defend not only our nation, but our selves and our families.
That’s why, even though hard core conservatives can be pretty bad at times, the conservative retards are >> the liberal hippies.

48 “I see more conservatives trashing our rights than I do liberals. Of course, I believe strongly that the law of man exists only because humans have ‘evolved’ to the point of stupidity so GRAND that we cannot exist merely on the laws of nature. A person is not granted rights by any other person, or group of people (no matter how large, even if that group is made up of or supported by 99% of the population of EARTH). Nature granted us everything which is our right. It is up to each person to decide what’s good for oneself, and no one else. Though, in general, I agree with your point, which I already said. I simply do not agree with your reasons.”

#53 | Comment by JRC — January 12, 2008 @ 1:23 pm
@51
Ryu,
Just curious, how do you not agree with my reasons? It appears as though from your last post we share the same ideals when it comes to human rights. The only thing I’ve done is picked conservatives as the lesser of two evils, as I believe they will preserve more of our rights and liberties (which I agree they really don’t have authority to grant or take away anyways). I believe our rights are granted by God, or I guess by nature if one doesn’t believe in God.
I’m just curious how you can say you don’t agree with my reasons. It’s inevitable that some political party or another is going take office, and make laws that suit themselves, which may or may not impact our rights and freedoms. I feel that they don’t have any authority to take away a God given right, but I know that they very well might, and will make it punishable by some fine or imprisonment. Right or wrong, society as a whole has given our government so much power now, that they believe that the government is the entity that determines and grants our rights, which is certainly not the case, and is contrary to what our founding fathers believed.
This is why, while I grudgingly support the conservatives (in general, that is), I am strongly opposed to anyone liberal. I don’t think the conservatives are perfect, by any means, but they are a damn sight better than the liberals. And Hillary…God help us if that evil woman gets in office. You’ll see all of our freedoms crumble away with her in power.
So what about my post to you disagree with, Ryu? Is it just the fact that you mistakenly believe the liberals will protect our freedoms?

To pretend that conservatives are better than liberals is to delude yourself into thinking that (as far as politicians are concerned) they’re not all equally moronic fuckers.
