  16. All the speculation on the cause of his death is bullshit. Right now NOBODY knows what happened. I saw the insufferable Anderson Cooper and Dr. Drew on CNN explore every gruesome possibility for ten fucking minutes. The only decent thing to do is wait for the autopsy and toxicology findings before pontificating.

    He also had a 2-year old daughter. Very sad indeed.

    I thought “that cannot be!!!!” , because i watched last days first time the Trailer to “The Dark Knight” and was surprised that Heath act as Joker (you nearly cannot identify him as Heath ;o) ) and this morning (5 ´o clock or something in Germany) i read the news.
    I don´t think that this was suicide, there where found pills on table but the real cause of death isn´t clear yet.

    May he rest in peace!

    I was literally in disbelief when my friend told me about this last night. There’s something absurd about it, having ‘Heath Ledger’ and ‘dead’ in the same sentence. It is particularly shocking, and frightening, I think, when such young, successful people are suddenly gone.

    What I find unnerving is the way its now just a fact, that Heath Ledger died. Celebrity deaths are strange; you sort of imagine you know the person somehow, but you don’t really. You aren’t sure how to feel.

    Oh, and #12: “Your next?” Batman needs to get back to elementary school! 😛

  47. my dad died from AIDS 9 years ago. seriously. I still have a hearty chuckle at a good AIDS joke, though. not that mine was particularly good. but losing my sense of humor isn’t going to bring him back.

    also, a friend of mine who had a heroin/coke/meth/everything habit shot up while alone in his apartment 6 weeks ago. he had a seizure from overdosing and fell over onto the floor where he laid paralyzed for 2 days until a friend stopped by, heard him moaning, broke in, and took him to the hospital. the needle had broken off in his arm, he developed gangrene and necrosis, he fought it for a month as it slowly poisoned him, and when his kidneys started to shut down, he had his arm amputated above the elbow.

    after he got out of the hospital and he told me the story, my first comment was “josh 2008: now with 50% less arm.” we both laughed. it’s fun being a cunt.

  67. 60: I shower. in fact, I think I deserve a little credit, being on a 4 month paid vacation, and still showering daily. I’m the real hero.

    if you actually want to know me, I’m 26, I work on industrial construction projects in the canadian oil sands making excellent money, I spend a good portion of my off time in vegas and other vacation destinations, and the rest in ontario, visiting my mom and extended family. I took a voluntary layoff in december to avoid the winter, I hid out in vegas for a while, and then I came here to ontario where I’m bumming around on savings, tax refunds, work bonuses, and EI until the spring.

    I’m pretty good looking and I have money in my pocket, but I’m bored as fuck, and I don’t give a shit about heath ledger. I would have spent the whole time in vegas, but that would have cost me about $5400 in EI benefits, so you get the pleasure of my very bored company.

  75. agreed, this JRC person reminds me of a not so close friend of mine who has a serious transference issue.

    he used to mock me for a variety of personality traits and behaviors, like being a vegan, taking frequent trips to vegas, some AI work that I’ve been doing as a serious hobby, being seriously into jogging, using air purifiers, etc..

    over the course of the last 2 years, he’s adopted every one of these patterns, and now alternates between pretending they’re news to me, and pretending he did them first and I copied him.

    in general, anything negative that you point out about him becomes your flaw, anything he resents about himself is detected in everyone around him, anything he likes about other people and adopts is something he’s always done, etc..

    I think there’s a term for this issue that he and JRC have, but I don’t know what it is. it was on an episode of House.
