1. Spend billions invading, subduing, and rebuilding an entire country to find one man.
2. Using a few SEALs and a couple of helicopters, actually find him 10 years later living a mile away from a military base belonging to your ‘allies’.
I do enjoy how JSOC pre-2009 was an extra-legal assassination squad, now it’s all cool. Whatever though, can’t put Osama’s blood in your gas tank so I’m not sure it makes a load of difference on the election.
If only we all voted based on fictional novels set in highly unrealistic worlds. But why Ayn Rand only? I want to vote based on a more interesting novel. Maybe something by Chuck Palahniuk.
When I say that does it make me sound smart? I’ve actually read Atlas Shrugged, unlike probably 75% of the tards who claim it informs their political philosophy.

Hey you, #23, yeah you: the guy who throws out big boy words like “Marxism” without having a clue about what they actually mean. Here’s a quote for you:
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”
37 because quotes are where all intelligent people find their intelligence, right? Think for yourself please.
And, actually, most recently, it was the head of the Black Chamber of Commerce, an African-American and registered independent who voted for Obama, who very publicly called him a Marxist. I don’t throw around words whose meaning I don’t know, you incunabula-reading MFer. Wait, nevermind, I don’t actually know what MFer means.

40, but clearly you do throw around words without knowing the meaning. You called Obama a Marxist. Therefore you are a stupid blowhard piece of traitorous shit in my book. Now kindly go fuck yourself.
Also, conservatism didn’t recover us from the great depression. It was government spending and the social safety net that you wannabe history-repeating idiots want to dismantle.
Obama is a socialist piece of shit, and killing this dude is not going to make people forget the horrible economy, ridiculous spending and utter failures in just about everything he’s attempted.
If you want to live in France or spoiled rioting Greece then leave the please leave the US and go join your idiot socialist brethren over there in those shit countries.
mg, you are the piece of shit. And dumb to boot. The problems with the economy were caused by your amoral fucktard of a president and his wall street assbag cronies. You people are really bankrupt of anything resembling a working brain. Why don’t you move to North Korea or Somalia you gigantic douche. You can choose between your repuglican wannabe facism or your unregulated governmentless utopia.
How bad does this administration and its party have to make things; how much in debt, how jobless, how high in gas and food prices, how much control of the internet and anything else they can manage, how many of George Bush’s continued war policies, do things have to get before even the most delusional reach their limit and put down the kool aid?
Now we know how Stalin, Castro, Mao, Mugabe and the rest got into office. Some people will deny until the very end.

How long do conservatives have to fuck things up and not accomplish anything before people abandon that horseshit ideology?
Obama’s just doing his best to get things back to where they were under Clinton – i.e., the way they were when shit was running smoothly. And he’s started to make some progress. I don’t know why “libertarians” (the new word for republicans, since people rightfully associate republicans with massive failure) would want to stand in the way of that, but if you want to see how bad shit can really get, go ahead and elect Ron fucking Paul.

Look, it’s real simple. Cite data where liberalism worked, and I’ll evaluate it. Where did the government spending come from to finance WW2? Taxpayers, or printing it (inflation), or borrowing it (mostly), which has to be paid by later taxpayers. The Great Depression ended because we revved up the economy by exporting materiel of war.
Please cite data where Keynesianism actually worked. I’m very empirical. Just show me.
51, I’ll be happy to believe you when you show data. Did you notice the economy expanded under Clinton when he cut capital gains taxes in 1996, not when he raised income taxes in 1993?
42, Obama is displaying Marxist policies. I’ve actually read the Manifesto and Das Kapital, so I’m not sure how you can say he’s not implementing things that are intended to bring about Marxism in subsequent administrations.

Yeah, you’re real empirical. It’s just by some stroke of luck that you’ve never helped yourself to a history book, or any other account of American economic activity that would show you that the economy expanded pretty steadily between when the New Deal was implemented and when we entered WWII.
The expansion under Clinton also coincided with the dot com boom. The capital gains tax cut alone wouldn’t have come close to accomplishing all that got done during that expansion. Clinton’s legacy isn’t just the economic expansion, though. How about the fact that there was a budget surplus when he left office? That was a result of our progressive tax code having rates that actually made sense.
Liberalism and Keynesianism aren’t interchangeable terms, so you can knock off the straw man bullshit. When has liberalism actually worked? Is that a serious question? Tennesee Valley Authority, Rural Electrification Administration, Social Security, the minimum wage, the SEC, antitrust laws… But those are just economic things, and liberalism isn’t just an economic theory. The list of liberal achievements that weren’t strictly economic is a long one.
-The end of child labor
-Food and other product safety standards
-The G.I. Bill
-The end of prohibition
-Factory safety standards
-Women’s suffrage
-Integration of the military
-The Environmental Protection Act
-Acknowledgment of a Constitutional right to privacy
-The Civil Rights Act
-Medicare
-Brown v. Board of Education
-Miranda Rights
-Lawrence v. Texas
-The end of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”
And that’s just off the top of my head. The resume of conservatism pales in comparison.

Many of those things aren’t liberal or conservative, they’re just correct. However, many of them are also steps on a slippery slope toward statism. I don’t want the government to take care of me and I pity anyone who does. Worse, I pity anyone who thinks the government needs to take care of **someone else**. The compelling power of government simply should not be brought to bear on these things. We **should** take care of each other. It just shouldn’t be mandatory.
For a criticism of New Deal programs, I refer you to FDR’s Folly and its citations. Antitrust laws are just a different form of anti-collusion laws, which were already in place. Minimum wage distorts the labor market and puts people out of work. Would people rather have a lower paying job or no job? Unfortunately, the nanny state ivory tower liberals don’t allow them to make that choice.
If you consider that list wholly accomplishments, then we merely see things differently. Honestly, I no longer want to inhabit the same country with people like you. We conservatives will take the south and midwest. You can have the west and northeast. It won’t take long for your country to collapse under the weight of social programs while limited government prospers.

How little faith do you have in Americans that came before us and built this country that your ungrateful sniveling privileged ass was born into?
Your staggering arrogance would dismantle everything we have built in this country over the last 100 years because you think you are smarter than every Supreme Court, every Congress, and every President (and the countless citizens who elected them) who held office during those times. Times that were far different and challenging in different ways than our own.
That list of accomplishments is most definitely a list of liberal/progressive accomplishments. Where’s your list for conservatism? I bet you just plan on co-opting the liberal ones and arguing how they are actually conservative.
If you think they are more a matter of what’s wrong and right, and not liberalism vs. conservatism, I wonder what you consider issues of today like gay marriage?

@53 Steady growth after the New Deal was implemented? The worst year of the Depression was 1937, FDR’s 5th year in office. Unemployment peaked at 25%.
The reason we didn’t go back into depression after WWII ended was that the rest of the World’s productive capacity was in ruin and we could sell every last piece of crap we could push out the door. A generation later, others had re-built and modernized, while US companies bought labor peace by promising fat wages and pensions. Promise anything to keep the factories running. Plenty of people knew 30 years ago that Detroit was gonna fail.

Times that were far different and challenging in different ways than our own.
That list of accomplishments is most definitely a list of liberal/progressive accomplishments. Where’s your list for conservatism? I bet you just plan on co-opting the liberal ones and arguing how they are actually conservative.
If you think they are more a matter of what’s wrong and right, and not liberalism vs. conservatism, I wonder what you consider issues of today like gay marriage?

liberalism vs. conservatism vs. jewism
more important than the negro in the whitehouse are the jews that continue to groom our girls in public forcing them underground and thus ruining our material I have worked so hard at nurturing many a pre-teen into making quality vids and we cant just sit back and let the antis the heros and the jews ruin my archives with all thier incessant toe sucking and high post counts

@54 Right on.
@55 My assumption is that trot is short for Trotsky.

@5 – Ryu, aka Ryuka Tana: You’re STILL a pompous ass, and your pretentious quotes are completely unnecessary. Go away, loser.
