Name That Place!
I'm pretty sure I am wrong, but I can't find pictures to prove that my guess is the place, but even more impossible...I can't find pictures to DISPROVE my guess...
...so I shall guess.
This, at least, will prompt another clue, unless Angelbaby is a yellow-bellied cheat!

Back in '85, in the stadium just to the left of the cube, some Liverpool fans got a little rambunctious, as football (soccer) fans tend to do, and they ran some Juventus fans back against a wall, which promptly fell over on the Juventus fans. I say this because I had to figure that out to figure out what the hell the cubey-lookin' thingy is. I ended up doing a search of football stadiums in lowlands countries (due to their silly distaste for proper traffic signals), which actually went pretty quickly, having eliminated the Netherlands almost immediately.
... Once I remembered the Heysel Stadium debacle, it was pretty easy. That's the Atomium statue, built for the 1958 World's Fair (do they even have those anymore?). It's 103 meters tall; made up of nine steel spheres, each of which is 18 meters in diameter; and is made to look like an iron crystal, but magnified 165 billion times. It's recently been refurbished, having replaced aluminum with stainless steel.
But I'm going to have to ask Smashy to remind me tomorrow to pick a new location, because I installed a new hard drive in my laptop and no longer have Google Earth on it.

yes, post away. It's indeed Angkor Wat. I just got tired of checking the forums every few hours. I honestly figured you guys would've gotten it sooner than that. I think that, if you zoom in far enough, you can actually see Maddox and Angelina Jolie picking out a new kid to adopt somewhere in there.
Unfortunately, this isn't an "hourly check" forum. If some of the folks that sit there and lurk without accounts would just register and start posting, maybe, but at this point I do every day or so.Umgawa wrote:yes, post away. It's indeed Angkor Wat. Oh, and I'm still looking for inspiration of what to post. If I ever get sleep again it might help my motivation level. I'll figure out something soon, though. I promise.
