You lay there in bed and you can hear this dull noise in the background. You know its in your mind and not coming from the open window as you've felt it before. Its the same feeling you get when the last song on the radio before you got out of your car plays over and over in your head. This dull noise is coming from you mind.
You start to realise that the noise is actually lots of people talking - the same noise you get in a crowded hall where no-one is near enough for you to pick out any words or conversation. No big deal you think - probably just all the conversations you've had today being replayed in your head at the same time. You start to ignore it and try to get some sleep. All of a sudden over the din you hear a phrase "So I told him to put the hairdryer down" - its a female voice that you've never heard of before - you try and work out if youve heard the same person talk before - perhaps it was a snippet of conversation you heard while you were down the shopping centre - or perhaps it was from a tv programme you watched the other day. It doesnt sound familiar at all. You hear another "Turn Around" - its a male voice this time - over the din of other voices, exactly the same as when you're in a large room with lots of people and someone from the back shouts out above the background noise. You've never heard this person before. You get the urge to open your eyes and turn over - there is no-one there, your partner is sound asleep next to you. The room is quite. You close your eyes again and the din of voices fade up from your subconcious. You hear the odd woman laughing and the odd snippet of a sentence - you eventually fall sleep.
Next morning you wake up and try to work out what happened last night. Are you going mad? Are you actually joining those people who say that they hear voices telling them to do things. Are you schzophrenic? Perhaps even slightly, acute? What if those voices start telling you things; things you start to obey - after all you did turn around when that guy shouted it out - but he wasn't talking to you it was someone he was chatting to in your head - and you seemed to have control over what you did - you turned over voluntarally - didnt you? What if they ask you to kill people or set things on fire - could you ignore them. You think to yourself that you're pretty competent - that you would just ignore it and you do. You even joke to yourself that perhaps youre some sort of superhero - that its a real room somewhere and you project it remotly in to your head - if you could hone your skill it would become very useful. You carry on with your day to day life not really taking this stuff too seriously. However, the voices return every night. The same din of conversations with different snippets of sentences every now and then. This is your life.

You begin to read the replies to your post with trepidation. You smile, you research, and then it dawns on you. According to the replies you either have a serious mental condition where the left and right sections of your brain are begging to deassociate with each other which needs immediate medical attention and years of drug therapy or you need to frap more and kill some mormons. You open up your online shopping account and order more tissues. and an axe.
