As a mildly educated unwashed American… I’ve never really done a “deep dive” into your country. I know “Brunei” has popped up over the years due to the amount of McLaren F1s owned by the family.
I very much enjoyed this video about Brunei and found myself looking past the cars showcased and studying the margins and background.

yeah, watched that earllier this morning when it popped up in my feed. pretty accurate! alot more interesting and true to life than the usual travel blogger vids about brunei that pop up from time to time.
i wouldn’t recommend coming here for a holiday or anything, there really isn’t much to do here. most locals usually travel to other neighboring countries to experience fun.
also, this place isn’t as bad or scary as mainstream media makes it out to be. just overblown sensationalist news.

fun fact: the princess’s home in that video is like, literally just down the road from where i live. also the sultan drives past the road to my place every weekday when he gets off from work (which is somewhere in one of the palaces in the area). he waves back at EVERYONE who waves at him as he passes by in his g wagon.

I tried to grow grass from inside a dog. While the grass grew, it was only for a few days before the grass died. After eight attempts I gave up and now a dog is broken.
