If you want to keep online videos, visit http://keepvid.com/ (doesn’t require Firefox). Rename “get_video” downloaded file to whatever file name you want and add the file extension of .flv (flash video).

A stand alone Flash Video Player is available at http://www.jeroenwijering.com/?item=Flash_Video_Player. Download URL is http://www.jeroenwijering.com/upload/flash_flv_player.zip.

Once you have the player installed, you can re-associate all *.flv file extensions to Media Player, VLC or whatever and get full screen functionality. For the n00bs, right click/file context menu/menu key on a *.flv and then Open With, Choose Program and check Always use the selected program to open this kind of file. Some videos won’t allow skipping to different parts but will play fine in a loop.
